SoCal TA House Party

| I just realized how many Ta's live in Socal and so I was wondering if anyone would like to host a Trance Party in a Socal location? Would anyone come if I hosted one? Would any Dj's besides myself like to spin at one? If you're a bedroom DJ best way to meet other Trance DJs would be to throw such a party. Feedback please. |

| Id show up for a TA house party. I wouldnt be able to host one tho, appartment quite small. Im in Brentwood, which is west side of LA. |

| I'm throwing out ideas here, but certain halls can be rented out, so maybe I could ask people to pitch in on the rental upon entrance and that way we can avoid trashed houses, assuming we get a rowdy crowd. |

| Id chip in some money if needed. We could try to get Dave Dresden to show up. He posts on TA once in awhile and hes from SoCal somewhere. |

| I'd pay for the whole thing if Dresden showed up but I'd have to make sure a lot of people would come so that he's not dissapointed. |

Sounds great to me, though here is a suggestion: Fellow TA TrancE and I just did a REDsters party at a place called Sunset Ranch out by Palm Desert, ah so it's a two and a half hours drive, but you're in the middle of nofcukingwhere!!! which meanst that we blasted the music pretty much non stop from Saturday 8pm to Monday 8am. Yeah we made a whole weekend party and we had something like 50-60 people and w/o food and alcohol(peeps brought their own and there is a full kitchen and two refrigerators at the ranch) just the ranch and sound & light equipment rental came out to $40.00 per person, which is an incredible deal considering what the ranch offers:
7 bedroom, with something like 28 beds, Ping pong table, pool table, full size BOXING RINK, Swimming Pool, A PRIVATE LAKE(yes we caught some smallmouth bass there, and released it of'course) and there is even a row boat. There is a big screen TV, full kitchen and two refrigerators, charcoal Bar-B-Q(your own Charcoal though). We had two DJ Set ups, one out by the pool(TrancE brought his equipment and his amp and speakers for this one, 'cause we didn't need to blast the music there during the day) and One FULL ON DJ set up upstairs in a huge living room we called BOOM BOOM ROOM. We rented 2 15" CV subs(bottoms) and 2 CV152 15" 2way full range speakers with cross overs and an amp for $125.00 for the weekend and we rented 1 arazz mazz tazz sound activated light for $40.00. Additionally I brought in my E&M monitors and my amp and another huge sound activated light. That set up was just as good as any club, the Boom Boom room was shaking pretty much the entire main house, :D :D :D ... Here are some pix:

That's me testing out the Boom Boom Room set up, 2 technics, Tascam X-9 mixer, CDJ800, Shure white label cartridges and a laptop hiding under the table, :D

| Sounds like a great idea, Tranz, but the only problem is that we've only got 2 other people that have said they'd go. It would only be fun if we could get a bunch of trance lovers and have a good crowd goin. |

I'll talk to Kevin, aka TrancE fellow TA, and between two of us we could at least muster up a dozen people, maybe we'll do a joined TA and RED party?
btw. San Francisco sucks, it is so fcuking cold up here, good thing I remember why they fcuk I drove up here from nice and WARM Northridge, Popsikle 5, Orgy, and to top it off AVB and DJ Remy. :D :D :D |

Who are the REDsters? If you and your friend can muster up a dozen people each, then set a date that would be good for everyone.
You're right San Francisco is fricken cold, if you wait long enough every good DJ makes their way through L.A. |
