So.. what are your comments?
Will we see this nation in 2005? Will it meet the wants of the silenced palestinians? Will there be anymore violence after?
I personally, think that palestine is needed, but there will be continued violence in some way becuase greed will obciously be a factor in determinating its existence. |

Permission to speak your heinous...
A Palestinian state in 2005, highly unlikely.
The year 2005 has officially been taken out of the 'Road Map'. They are now working strictly on progress -- phases. You do your job, we'll do ours.
That’s to say that if Abu Mazen puts a rush on his concessions and duties, a state could be established within the next 2 years. If he is delayed, either by his own will, or by Arafat’s, Hamas or whoever else, this Palestinian state won’t be seen till after 2005.
Sharon made a historic speech today in regards to settlements, and a future Palestinian state. This made him very unpopular with the majority of the Israelis, and especially his own Likud party. It wasn't an easy speech for him in the least.
Terror; as you said will undoubtedly continue.... I say for the next 3-4 years. Hopefully less if ALL parties in this peace agreement put in 110%! The fact that the US is making sure funding from Syrians, and Saudi's, will make an impact on the resources these terror groups have to work with. |

we need peace at all costs.
tired of seeing people kill each other and more innocent lives going to waste. Frankly if palestine getting it's own statehood stops the ing violence...then I'm for it but it's give and take and is a very very complicated issue. |

| I believe a Palestinian State will be created. I believe Terrorism will continue. I believe this will lead into the final war of the Middle East. |

that's an interesting take
why do you think that trancegiant |

logical reasoning.
1. There's so much pressure on Israel that they'll have to grant the Palestinian their own independent state. Moreover this claim is more than legitimate, if it indeed lead to a peaceful co-existence of two nations and an end of the 100 year old war.
2. However one only needs to read the hamas Charter to understand that Islamo-fascist terrosim (including calibers like Al-Quaida) aren't interested in a Jewish nation in the Middle East. Hence new Terrorism.
3. Israel will be justified to take all necessary actions to end terror. After having tried it all out (giving them their own state), they'd be even "allowed" to go into a "full-on" war which would trigger a chain-reacton, pulling all mid-east nations into it.
4. God only knows. |

Just one question....hopefully someone can truthfully answer this for me...
Does the Israeli government condone or condemn the establishing of Jewish settlements near the establish Palestinian territories? |

Since when is Israel not allowed to use up all of its land....?
All those places you say are near established 'Arab land', is also very sacred to religious Jews, who's ancestors are buried in many of the cemeteries and tombs in those cities and villages. |

There are two sets of settlements ... illegal ones and government sponsored ones on Palestinian territories. Right now the government does nothing to halt the spread of illegal settlements. Under the proposed peace plan, all illegal settlements are to be removed immediately. With the legal settlements the government has reservations about removing those but has accepted the peace proposal based upon the US's agreement to address some of the reservations that Israel has. However, the US has refused to change any of the points of the peace plan so far.
At any rate, Israel should remove both types of settlements from Palestinian territories. I mean ... it will be THEIR country right? |
