I agree totally with you addicted (I know you didn't want the response from me though)... Although I don't really consider myself to be an athesist... I'm more of an agnostic (sp?)... Which is there might be a higher power out there, but I don't feel that people should pray to an image of ourselves... Kind of egotistical of humankind... If there is something out there, let it judge us on our character, not on what (or who) we believe in...

i am an atheist..once i was a full blown beleiver, went to church, all that, at that point i hadnt read the bible. as i got older a found out that all the "religious leader" (in my town anyway) are bull. they preach that stuff more to glorify themselves, and i wouldnt be surprised if they really didnt beleive themselves...also..i shouldnt have called myself an atheist..cause i am not really...i just dont care one way or the other...if there is: good 4 him, if he is this "good god" figure, then he will realize that a person can be an atheist, and still live there lives as a good person. I dont want to worship a god that says "if u dont fall on your knees before me, than you are going to hell"
also i dont see the point of spending your whole life preparing for something that will happen after u die.

once morem, this was not to piss u guys off, just to present a different point of view...

hey man. no offense taken bro! it's alright if you don't believe. i don't force people to. :) that's sad about the priest in your town...*shakes head* Jesus once told the people, 'do not start being a christian if you are going cannot handle it' basically. because it demeans God. too bad about him....bah...ruins it for everyone else around just like Jesus said.

don't worry. i'm not at the least offended. we all have our own lives to live. :)

wats even weirder? my parents are buddhists and they sent me to the catholic school. unfortunately, i didn't learn much from christian religion in school. Everything was mechanical and bland, most teachers and students were not into activities and such.

It really boils down to your affinity to certain belief systems. Buddhist had a chinese term for it since affinity can barely described the person's loving attraction to their faith.

for me, i'm more drawn to mystical systems older than christainity. One is Buddhist systems and the other is Taoism. There is still a whole wide world beyond these systems which deals with the metaphysical world, subtle energy forms, and paranormal phenomenons.

As for your argument its a simple logic flaw in the Christian faith.
The problem i see with spiritual fundamentists with major religious denominations is that they are misguided and deluded in thinking their faith revolves around world and the universe. for instance, people who believe the existence of God, have a difficult time grasping that if He exists, so does other divine and transcended beings. God is not alone, nor in my eyes, the absolute supreme deity of this world.

The assumption of heaven and hell is one of many complex algorithm problems. when you start with the basics in investigating other subjects outside your inherent belief system, you'll notice the teachings and unproven assumptions do not provide the absolute truth.
I am lead to believe through experience, besides just a leap of faith, that when one dies (with or without a foundation of a mystical system), one's psionic essence and state of mind still lives in a different form, like ghosts and spirits lost or wandering or causing trouble. I could explain it deeper, but you're going to get dizzy from the possibilities I present, which has nothing to do with heaven or hell.

the fact is, there's no guarantee a christian will go to heaven when he/she dies. The benefit of a belief system is to give one a directive for the afterlife; what will happen; what will you do; and where will you go.

im neither a buddhist, or atheist, or agnostic, or a christian, but a mystic - still learning.

No, I don't think so. :)

do those nightmares have to do with acute panic, fear and anxiety? your subconscious may be giving you signs of your state of emotional wellbeing. the subconscious is not good at telling you but presenting to you dream scenes that are relative to your life in the past, present and future.

Sometimes, from what i have read and learn, nightmares are not of your making, something is trying to scare and freak you out. if one believes the existence of dark spirits, entities and ghosts, better believe those things have the ability to cause and harrass living beings. of course that's just one possibility to understanding one's dreams and nightmares.

I have a friend, had a bad childhood, had terrible and terrifying nightmares. To him, it lasted hours and he was unable to wakeup from the nightmares sometimes. He would always die in those nightmares, and he's had alot. he told me that through his dreams and nightmares, he thinks he has died not-in-a-good-way in his past lives. he told me sometimes he felt the tip of an axe on the back of his neck.

WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?
I'm not talking like things that scare you, but things that really petrify you...
Me... it's kinda wierd, but I'm really afraid of becoming a recognizable face... The shield of being just another face in the crowd kind of gives me a sense of security... If people that I don't even know start talking to me and know stuff about me, it scares the hell out of me... I don't know... This is therapy to write this, so even if no one else reads this, I still feel better

have you wonder why this happens to you? why you have this unreasonable fear, sounds like a social anxiety disorder. watch your dreams closely for clues. watch for events, objects or people that are related to your problem. look for manifestations of your fear in your dreams, like someone could be imitating you.

there is a metaphisics theory about Negative entities attaching themselves to human hosts, its like possession on various levels of extremities. the applied theory is called Core Image Removal, the task of removing those beasts from you.

Dunno why, but moths (and butterflies kinda) just freak me out, especially the big ones. I'm not afraid of death, spiders, snakes, height or anything else, just moths.

Wierd.

paralysis. it depends on the dream scene, nightmare or not?

moths. try to remember or next time it happens, observe where your fear is coming from your body, sensations of any kind. and most of all, your dreams will give you clues to what's goin on. heck keep a dream diary.

think about it, why the heck are you afraid of something so harmless? whats causing your brain to produce dopamine that causes your acute fear?

Addicted: im not religious, so why would i feel offended?? :)

the christian religion over here is SOOOOOOOO ing ignorant &foolish, i dont want nothing to do with it!!!

but that doesnt mean i can be interested in the old testament, cuz i am, just for the mythical stuff in it, and how u can place them in these times, thaz just wicked!! same counts for buddism, iz soooooooo mythical, and yet so understandable & real, best thing bout it is: there is no good or evil, ur free which way u wanna go, but if u wanna go the way of the light, go that way, if u wanna go the way of the dark, go the other way, if u dont wanna go either ways, go through the middle...

now thaz i like, no ignorance, live ur own life, but know what the consequences r...
