Fabric, Homelands, Boat Party Review!

...After an hr flight from Tampa to Miami, a 3hr lay over, followed by a 8.5 hr flight,I finally arrived in London about 9:15 am on Fri. I was so fookin tired but to avoid jetlag I decided to hit the city. My first stop was Kings Cross (Camdon)I checked into the hotel and i was off. Rode the Train, Caught a bus, took the underground; Hit a pub. Went to London Center (which looked alot like Times Square minus the mountains of trash on the streets and with the added annoyance of broke students begging for money)

Went to HMV, passed by Virgin, walked to Soho. Walked around saw some slutty 16 yr old blond chicks advertising sex shows. Passed Big Ben, caught a bus to Waterloo back to Kings Cross but stopped by St. Pauls Cathedral and took some pics first.

Hit another pub with a Halloween theme and asked for a 'mudslide' and the bartender looked at me like i was crazy. Told him the ingredients and we laughed over a chicken sandwich and french fries (however he quickly told me they arent 'french fries' they are 'chips')

Walked to the hotel and feel asleep to some show Neighbors lol. Woke up and went to Fabric. Fabric lived up to all the hype. The Line Up for the night was James Lavelle, Plump Djs, and Stanton Warriors. The club is super clean and has an awesome sound system and filled with an array of purple neon lights. We got there around 11:00 and I saw the Stanton Warriors for the 1st time ever. They fookin blew the roof off. A nice blend of techy and melodic breaks. Some tracks i remember were Stanton Warriors - Virus , Cosmos - Take Me With You (Stanton Warriors Remix) <~~~ amazing, and some remix of Method Man - M.E.T.H.O.D.M.A.N. with missy on vocals. Around 1:00 am some hip hop group or guy named Phalacy or some came on and started rapping 'ah yo, ah yo' and that was mu cue to leave.

Next morning woke up early and caught a coach to Homelands.

Go to Homelands around 1:30pm ish and stayed til 6:00 am. This was by far the best festival I have been to. All my fav Djs (minus PvD). I spent the majority of the time in Arena 1. I saw James Zabiela who was on right before Sasha and Digweed. His set was very chill and he dropped some amazing track that repeated the vocal 'you are about to experience a brand new vibe.' Then about (16:00)John Digweed came on and spun for an hr, then Sasha came on, and spun for an hr, then they tag teamed the last hr. Digweed dropped two AGoria tracks 'The Sky is Clear' and 'La emme March', some phat breakbeat remix of Mary J Blidge, Schiller - Ruhe (Humate Remix), Sasha dropped Infusion vs Kate Bush - Running, and the highlight of the set was Sasha dropping Breezer right before Digweed came on again, It got a huge crowd response I was in heaven, then about (19:00) Oakey came on and in typical Oakey fashion he slowed Digweeds last track and refused to mix into it, and started with some weird breakbeat stuff, he dropped southern sun, and as the rush comes, and i got hungry so i left before he was threw. Went to a stand and ordered a hotdog that tasted like plastic, and some 'chips' that resembled banana pudding. Walked around the diff arenas for a bit then finally made my way back to Arena 1 where Chemical Bros were about to come on. WOW - the Chemical Brothers totally owned Homelands imo. They had the crowd freaking out and dancing to every track. They dropped a bunch of old school tracks and some of their own productions. Tracks I remember where Chemical Bros - Africa (acapella), Chemical Bros - Elec Battle Weapon, Some U2 Remix, Freestylers - Dont Stop the Rock, 2nd to last track was Star Guitar, the last time I had seen them live was way back in '99 @ Zenfest in Miami and they didnt dissappoint this time! I was so tired for all the dancing that i chilled during Justin Robertsons set who oddly resembled Moby, then Tyrant boys (Burridge+Richards) took over the decks followed by the worst Howells set I have ever seen. The crowd was just not feeling it. Then Hernan Cattaneo took the decks about (3:00) and got the vibe going again dropping Underworld vs Infusion - Legacy, and finally Plump Djs ended the night. About 5:30 dead tired started heading back to the coach. Go back to Kings Cross around 8:00 ish, took a bus to Waterloo, then took a train to South Hampton. Checked into the hotel and dipped to the Boat Party. This was by far the highlight of the entire weekend. Ashley Caselle, James Zabiela, and Danny Howells were the hosts of this party for 300 funked up peeps. The party started about 3:00 and went until 7:00. All the DJs associated with the crowd, walked around, and were totally chill. They all looked like they were having a great time.

After the party there was an after party @ Club Orange but I was a corpse and needed some sleep before the 8.5 hr flight ahead of me. I posted some pics now and I will prob post more later. All in all it was the best weekend of my life. I spent way too much $, go like 0 sleep, and loved every moment, bla bla bla

Thats all folks
