Well , I still only have 5 games for my PS2 and I've had it since launch day...
Seems as though the amount of time I can find for video gaming has been in serious decline the last few years, and when I *do* get time I usually dig out a Square game for one of the older systems (PSX, SNES) rather than something for the PS2...
The 2005 date doesn't surprise me though, Sony seems to be on a 5 year cycle right now, hopefully they'll keep the backwards compatible thing going too... |

in the end...how easy is it to code for that console?
PS2 is a bitch to code for and that's why all the damn games look almost the same, i hope PS3 will be alot easier so we can see more variety in the look and feel of games. |

I have lost interest in the majority of console games lately.
I think the gaming industry is alittle backward right now.. they focus too much on hardware, technology, graphics, and all that rather than on the games. I miss the good old snes and PS1 RPGs with crazy stories that were so fun to play. I have been disapointed with the RPGs that have come out lately.. ffx lost my interest after about 14 hours. Xenosaga is good, but xenogears seriously destroys it. Maybe I'll change my mind with the release of star ocean 3 though, that game looks very good.
The last game that was really amazing to me was Morrowind. And I had it for PC anyways, not console. |

Hmm.. well neva was much of a fan of PS1/2... loading times.. hmmm HOW EXCITING!!!
PS3.. hmm lets see what they come up with... cause PS2 has DVD playback capabilities so its gonna be bloody hard to impress IMO.
Ive killed gaming since about 2 years ago.. no point having to upgrade just to play games... that.. music all the way! |

| multiplayer on consoles is the biggest stepping stone right now. I woulnd't be surprised if PS3's biggest promotional tool is it's netcode. |
