hiya,
read a good one lately?
I'm looking for something akin to The Beach by alex garland - along the lines of travel fiction, or something up to date written by a young author. Or just list a really good book you've read.

cheers

Ah I loved The Beach, made me go to Thailand :D

Get Pixel Juice by Jeff Noon, not travel fiction at all but it's a collection of short stories, kinda influenced by rave culture. Somebody on here recommended it to me and I bought it from Amazon and was well chuffed. He's done a load of full-length novels too but read this first because the stories introduce you to the world he's created.

A good travel book is 'Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks (not the sk8er). Funny. It kept me going through part of my trip in Europe.

Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser.. very interesting (might not want to read it if your a big fan of fast food like mcdonalds or burger king) after reading this book i will never eat at mcdonalds or burger king again. And i try to stay away from fast food now.

MasHiMarO! =)

Heh. As for a good read. I would suggest the "Wheel of Time" series. It rocks. It is a fantasy series, but... I dunno.... it's not like retarded fantasy. It was definately a good read in my honest opinion. Plus they are long. so its not like you read it, and its over.. and there is something like 9 books now. my 2cents =)
