what if PvD or AvB say : DJ JEAN is the best dj in the world ... that doesn't necesarily mean they are right , do u understand what i mean ? |
Yeah I agree with you there man ... who really gives a if Sasha thinks Danny Tenaglia is cool ... I may like Sasha but that's only because he's earned my respect through spinning music that I like ... not because some other DJ said he was cool. I'm sure Tenaglia's flattered that Sasha likes him but I doubt that its gonna earn him any new fans, because their styles are like chalk and cheese.
They're both big enough and famous enough, I'm sure they'll both be around for a good many years spinning to their respective fan bases anyway. |

the prophecy of paul oakenfold falling seems to be coming true. i havnt heard much from him at all, and did u see him at the grammies?
but i got started in him back in 2000 by listening to Tranceport. then i bought travelling which is THE best. then i bought bunkha which sucked. |

| Haha, interesting to read these and compare to today. Ferry Corsten especially, since this whole thread existed before Punk and his whole electro phase. |

Now lets predict who'll go stale in 2005-2006.
I'm gonna say Armin. I've been to his gig twice and both times, he bored me to death.. actually went home early for the 2nd! |

Pretty much. Mauro Picotto has been fading a bit, but that's because of his own decision to wind his career down. He could be huge if he wanted right now. |

I still consider Mauro Picotto one of the best djs around. But yes he's old and quitting soon. Actually I'm glad he hasn't become over-popular, otherwise he'd probably be playing commercial (like you-know-who). |
