Graduation Speech...

I'm scheduled to make the valadictory address at my high school graduation..
I need some help with what the hell to talk about?? It's a new international school, in which I was the first student enrolled. Its only been around for five years..
So, does anyone have any experience? Ideas?
I'm trying to step away from something traditional..as, well, they are boring and never remembered.
So what do all of you tranceheads think?
(doubt I can use it as a tribute to the tunes of the year, soz.. ) |

| Since it is an international school, I think including more than one language in your speech would be appropriate. As usual, include all of the "friendships for life" and "another step on the road of life" cliche'd BS. |

just be who you are
if you are a serious person, be serious
if you are a fun person, be fun
if you are somewhere in between, be that person
don't be something that you don't want to be
you are BSing when you don't act or speak like who you really are |

| Walk up, look around, laugh mockingly...say "Oh dont look so solemn, you are 17 for Gods sake" and walk off |

I, for one, talked about what I learned besides the material preached by the teachers ("you learn for yourself, not school" cliche+ "what is maturity?"). How those years affected me as a person, what I liked, what I had to criticize, what I'm feeling right now etc. etc.
I was applauded by all teachers, parents and students  :) |

"I would like to thank the Jocks, for pushing me into lockers and punching me for no reason. Too all of my teachers, for attempting to brainwash me and trying to mold into what they wanted and into what I wanted, but now that I make more money then all of you, I can give you this finger and say FUUUUUUUUUUCK YOU!"
That's what I wanted to do, but instead I declined the offer to make a speech. High school sucks. I never want to see any of those people ever again. |
