Just want some feedback from owners because I really want to get my hands on a minidisc player...
There not that popular here in toronto so I'll probably be getting it of ebay from someone in the states... |

i have the sony mz-r500 and its bloody great! its small, the buttons are nice and not pin head sized, sounds silly but the eject system is good, coz alot of md players, just lift up, and then u have to poke in ur fingers to get the disc out! naming discs is a long process as u have to scroll thro all the letters, #'s, and others with left and right to get each letter and sometimes it takes ages and ages, but u dont have to name them! but on the whole i love it, OOOO and the batterys go on and on and on and on! i had one battery for months! i says in the book 36hours of one battery! thats AA in england, commonly known as the pencil size! well im v.pleased with mine! the discs arnt expenseive either.
peace  |

song MD players and discs are bad..
u shud never buy them..
just coz they are the bigest name out there...
doesn't mean anything
from what i know/ hear.... sony players and discs are amongst the lowest in quality...
so if i were u, i'd get a Sharp, Denon, Kenwood or Panasonic or something =p |

sorry infinity, but every sony product out family has owned, has lasted long, and been of good quality, and my minidisc player is no exception, maybe i had good batches and u had bad ones or summit, oh well, luck of the draw i guess, my friend called ross at school thinks the same as u, hes had a few sony products and theve all died on him, maybe its just luck of the draw, but personally, all my sony products have been on very high quality. |

Sharp?!!?!?!?!?!? lol!!! dropped a sharp in the store one time, wrecked the entire thing!!!
had 2 sonys so far, the mzr35 & the mzr55, metal cover, unbreakable, but i think i threw my 55 around too often, cuz it skips all the time, so gonna have to send it to repair, cuz the new line of sonys r ing plastic !!! theres where Inf is right, the new line of md portables & stereo sets SUCK ASS!!!! total crap!!! |

Sorry mate but thats utter e. i've owned a Sony player, 2 sony recorders, a panasonic player and a panasonic recorder, a sharp player and a kenwood recorder and the best of the lot were the Sony ones. I currently have the MZ -r91 and i have never had any problems with any of my sony players. Sony MD players sound much better than any other out there. The panasonic player i had was top of the range and it sounded like a tape player. Sony players have the best facilities, they are the easiest to use and they are very reliable. My kenwood one started skipping in a week and the sharp one didnt even have a remote control or rechargable battery. If u read any reviews anywhere of personal and hifi-seperate md players sony's ones nearly always win because they are the best! They invented the format for s sake! |
