Ok, some seriousness here:
Just call her, say something like "Hey it's ______, I was wondering if you were interested in (going to a movie/going out to dinner/etc.) with me tonight." |

You kinda remind me of me and my very first girlfriend. Both of us were shy as hell back then and neither one of us would 'dare' to make the first move even though we kinda had a feeling that we both liked each other.
This was what we did. We were friends at school and gotten a bit closer and stuff but I knew she was really really shy. I know that she liked me as a good friend and could trust me but beyond that I wasn't too sure. We never went out alone before, so one day we decided to go to the movies. She brought her girlfriend and I brought my best bud (I found out later that he liked her too). This wasn't like a double date or anything, just a get together.
Anyways, during the movie I don't really know what possessed me (since I was really shy) but I asked her to lean over because there was something I wanted to tell her. As she leaned over, and her face was next to mine, I held her face and planted one on her lips.
She just stood there expressionless and was like hmmmmm... We continued to watch the movie and acted like nothing happened. Anyways, after our buddies went home, she called me that night.. |

I Need some advice from all you "Dr. Love"s out there. There's a girl i've known for a while. I like her a lot and I'm pretty sure that she wants me too, but we're both shy. So I'm going to call her in an hour or so. The question is what to say. I like original stuff :p Thanks |
if you like her, depending on how long you have known her, you probably better not ask her out, unless you know you both share mutual feelings. beside, if you have known her for a while, you asking her to go eat lunch or some like that, she might think of you still as a friend. but do that anyways, but dont be asking her out every other day or something, you gotta slowly work your way into it. so start talking to her more, but listen to her, dont have all the topics of conversation about you, and then take her out sometimes, and keep doing that, until you think its a good time to ask her out, hope that helps |

| Personally I think that telling a girl that you WANNA GO OUT WITH HER/LIKE HER is one of the worst things you can do. If you want a girl to know that you like her, you should just LET HER FIGURE IT OUT by the fact that you two are getting PHYSICALLY INVOLVED. TELLING HER that you like her is bad cuz it takes the Magic, the Ssuspense, the Mystery and the Sexual Tension out of the situation. it pops the balloon/kills the chemistry. know what i mean :) :thepirate |

Part II:
She called me that night and when I picked up the phone I was nervous as hell. :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:
I never had a gf before so I was crapping my pants at this point (god, I wish I wasn't so shy back then  )
(WARNING: EXTREMELY CORNY STUFF BELOW!! )
She was like: "Why'd you kiss me in the theatre?"
I didn't know what to say so I acted all sly and and was like, "oh I always kiss my friends like that  :nervous: "
She's like "oh really?" and then she rants off about how that kiss may not mean anything to me but to her it was a big deal. So I asked her why it was such a big deal. She didn't want to tell me and tried to avoid the subject, so I told her to cut the cheese and tell me how she felt about me. :D
And that was when I found out that she liked me too. I was soooo happy, and my heart couldn't stop beating. I really felt like the happiest person on earth. The sun was shining, the birds were singing. I never felt so happy to be alive, yeehaw!! :D THE END.
We started going out after that and it lasted a whole freakin' month. Thinking back, that was the worst month of my life. Whoever said your first is always your best, well....he/she lied! |

hahah...reminds me of good ol' days when i was young.
here's some advice, 1) be cool 2) dont act or be needy 3) play everything off cool 4) even if you really dig the girl, don't show it too soon
as far as "dating"... just ask her to go "hang" out with you. takes away the pressure off a date, which can be oh so awkward and non-social.
