I'm 20, been driving for almost 4 years, 2 tickets w/ 3 points each, no accidents.

I used to drive a 1991 ford mustang rust-bucket which i was paying $130/ month for part-time driver. Then stuff came up & i needed my own car fast so i bought a 1992 hyundai scoupe. I figured insurance couldn't be much on a car I paid $950 for. I was so wrong. My insurance agent (F.G. Rick Andrews, State Farm) quoted me for $550/month!!! I obviously was pretty pissed off, so i told him to just cancel any insurance i have with him so i can get it somewhere else. I finally found a cheaper, but still expensive company so i signed up with them (ING Halifax). no more than 2 days after dropping off the cheque for first & last month's payment, I got a phone call from Rick. He told me that he made a bunch of changes to my whole family's insurance so now i'd only be paying $200/YEAR to be able to drive any of the 3 trucks & 2 cars in my house. So then I had to call ING back & explain to them why I want to cancel & get my $600 back. The bitch told me I can't get the money back so I'm stuck with them for 2 months. So now I'm stuck paying $289/month on a 1992 Hyundai scoupe & $200/yeah on a 2002 gmc 3500, 1998 chevy siverado, 2000 gmc sierra, & a 1992 Ford rustang. I'm thinking of blowing up the scoupe, just for s & giggles.

Yes, that is ridiculous. I was going to buy a new R1 at the Motorcycle show in March until I saw the insurance rates. I was quoted $3300 and I've had the equivalent of an M license for at least 7 years. That same bike with collision and comprehensive is $1295 in Calgary.

Die Insurance companies, die!!!

I wish I was rich and wouldn't have to worry about like this. Live comfortably, travel when and wherever I want, buy what I want when I want, and host giant trance parties at my own club and be able to pay the DJs (Tiesto, PvD, u name it) for it.

Plus, I wouldn't be one of those cocky rich people who doesn't let people touch them cuz they ride a Ferrari. Heck, I'd give any friends a ride in my Porsche, as long as I know they're not using me.

Great news, I, for one, would sure like to see those reductions to take place ASAP.
