What's your Screen resolution?

| Hello everyone, I'm just wondering what screen resolution's the most common, About to design a website, so i wouldn't mind knowin what i should optimise it for.. |

| Ya, i usually use 1024 x 768, but usin 1280 x 1024 at the min to design the site.. I'd love a bigger monitor.. have a crappy wee 15 incher at the min :( 19" would turn me on :) Oh Boy that'd be nice! I'd go for about 1600 x 1400 (if it exists) |

design it for 1024x768, but make sure it still looks good in 800x600.
even though a lot of people use higher, a lot of people still use 800x600 too, and you can't them over.
640x480 though, it'd be best if you could just make their computer explode. :) |

1280 * 1024 on my laptop and then 1024 * 768 on my 2nd monitor...

I find that the rule of thumb is to design it as 800x600, and then just throw it on a centered table so it will still look nice on higher resolutions. |
