Since all I see on these forums is the usual negativity against Israel, from the overwhelmingly anti-Israel crowds that frequent these boards, I have decided to post a partial list of Israel's facts and achievements in memory of those innocent Israeli’s who have fallen this past week to Palestinian terror.

Those who have been identified are:
Sgt. Tamar Ben-Eliahu, 20, from Moshav Faran
Alexander Kazaris, 77, from Jerusalem
Ro’i Eliraz, 22, from Mevassaret
Tsipora Pesakovitch from Tsur Hadassah
Rene Malka Sultana, 67, from Jerusalem
Allen Cohen, 47, from Jerusalem
Elsa Cohen, 70, from Jerusalem
Yaffa Mualem, 65, from Jerusalem
Zvi Cohen, 39, from Kiryat Menahem
Eugenia Berman, 50, from Jerusalem
Tita Martin Tita, 75, from Jerusalem
Yaniv Ubaid, 22, from Herzliya
Bat-El Ohana, 21, from Kiryat Ata
Anna Orgal, 55, from Jerusalem
* May G-D rest their souls *

With thanks to Richard Epstein...

Israel, the 100th smallest country, with less than 1/1000th of the

from the rubble.

Israel has the third highest rate of entrepreneurship - and the highest rate among women and among people over 55 - in the world.

Relative to its population, Israel is the largest immigrant-absorbing

It's no wonder why they want the land now... from the desert, Israelis have made the lands flurish. A country only 55 years old has much to be proud of. It's unfortunate anti-semitism, and a general disguest for Jew's and Israel's, blinds people of what is truly "good" in this world.

I don't know if you can claim this as an achievement :)

well i dont have anything against israel or the palestinians, but i think we need to put things in perspective

israel has only 0.001% of the world's population, but is still the country that receives the most financial aid from the US. on average this costs the US tax payer $23,240 per yr!

also:

The United States provides direct and indirect military aid to Israel – totalling more than it gives to all the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean put together, whose combined total population is 1,054,000,000.

x----x

do u think israel would have been able to accomplish all it has without the help from the US? granted, it has indeed made alot of progress in just 50 or so yrs. of existence as a state, all im saying is that you must take into account US aid to it as well

PS: i did get those stats from www.palestinemonitor.org, so it mite be a bit biased, (i doubt it, tho)

melech, do you ever post anything else other than about the holy land?
and dont be so harsh on the palestine supporters, because controversy is a good thing. i myself support israel, but i dont get all butthurt when someone comments on israel's methods to achive peace. so stop trying to make everybody believe that israel is the good and palestine is the bad. because neither side is acually trying to achive peace without taking out their revenge on the "opposing side" first. so why doesnt someone stand up and say "theyre both bad", or "they could do better". instead of saying " israel/palestine!"

both countries have s that resort to violence. However, both countries have their pains and personal grudges. Both have their major religion that have proved to be bull and useless in solving this problem.

just my opinion

Good for you mike.. you deserve a candy.

Unfortunately, the reality is that Israel's lack of respect for human life has masked these great achievements (which have been mostly developed with the help of the US).

And what about Hamas? Considering that they even kill themselves in their attacks tells me that they don't respect human life. They don't have respect for their own lives.

LoL maybe they were asleep in terrorism 101 when they discussed how to plant bombs. But seriously ... who needs to go to the trouble of planting bombs when there are plenty of teenage boys and girls who will sacrifice themselves? Has there been a suicide bomber over the age of 30? How cowardly to send the young and the naive off to die.
