I have to agree with Hootchis on AVB. I saw Tiesto at the Docks on Wednesday, and he ripped my heart out and danced on it for the night(sounds gross, but actually means it was GOOD). Then I saw him in Montreal and it just wasn't QUIte the same. For me, AVB did the ripping and dancing in Montreal (to an even greater extent).
Shout outs to:

What a wicked road trip. |

| the fact of the matter is....they are both wicked ass djs. everybody has their own opinions. i personally cant decide who is my favorite between Tiesto, Armin, and Ferry. But i will tell you one thing....after seeing Armin in DC this past saturday....he deff takes the cake this month. he actually came down into the crowd during his first encore to hang out with everybody (AVB and Ferry - From the Heart).....now how many djs do you know that would do that?:D |

IMO I think Tiesto is way better than armin,Eventhough i probably enjoy armin sets over tiesto's here and there.
Ive been saying since my first impression of the 2 djs is that Armin is a crowd pleaser. He is a "track spinner" only playing the tracks that the crowd wants to hear. His mixes are not anything fabulous where as Tiesto's sets are a true reflection of his talent. His ability to mix the styles that he does is amazing. When i see these djs live i want to hear beats that are going to kick my ass not the tracks that i listen to in the car.
The last Tiesto performance at kool haus was satisfactory at the least and should not be used to judge him.
Lets just hope that his number 1 status doesnt do what it did to oakenfold. |

in one of the interviews he mentioned that he wants to spin everything cause he wants a bigger crowd? so how does that not make him a crowd pleaser, guess Tiesto is an exception
They're both really good, but different, I beleive there is no such thing as better or worse when it comes to Tiesto or Armin, and I think we should show Armin more respect, he's only 25, and he's so far already !!!!! |

Although, I love Tiesto and Armin both alike, I have to agree that Tiesto was better than AVB than night hands down. Tiesto absolutely tore the roof off Aria, after the little mishap with the sound going dead for several minutes, Tiesto came back with a vengance. His 45 min encore was just off the charts, because of his encore and Aria's heat, I got a minor case of heatstroke. I literally was minutes away from passing out, but couldn't leave the dancefloor until Tiesto finished. The energy during his set was unbelievable, he is just so in tune with the crowd.
That whole party was so amazing, I really feel bad for all of you who missed it. This was a lineup of the decade. Both Tiesto and Avb destroyed, and Guy Ornadel finished off with some sick melodic, uplifting trance. All in all, I survived the 12h+ party and am here to talk about it.
Man what a night!!! |

I don't know if you can really give an accurate answer by looking at the Montreal review of Tiesto and Armin. This is because, as someone said on the first page, most didn't enjoy Armin's set as much because it was disgustingly hot and humid to the point where they were soaked from head to toe with sweat in there.
Yes, Tiesto's set was awesome, although I found it started off slow and kinda boring, but Armin's was also amazing! The standoff may continue, because a conclusion hasn't been reached! :p |

| Was surprised to hear Tiesto start his set with the Matrix bit...Armin's been playing that at the beginning of his ASOT shows over the last couple weeks. Dunno when Tijs started his but oh well just thought it was funny - only they know whats going on there but I agree, its too bad that our two fav trancemasters are at odds. Well can only hope they put aside their differences and play shows together in the future - it would really be a shame for them not to. |

The subject of this thread is wrong. The word "official" does not
fit there. There is a reason why #1 tracks are #1 and U heard them
before. It's because their good, that's why they made it to #1. Spinning tracks the crowd wants to hear? What's wrong with that? When I go to see Armin, I expect him to spin these tracks, and I know
he will, and that's why I can slam a big high 5 with him. |

According to that Tiesto is just the fisrt to choose from :)
But,
It's always hard to say who is the 'Better DJ' among good DJs... :(
btw I like Tiesto very much... :D
I so enjoyed last Wednesday on Docks! |
