Tiesto officially better than Armin !! (pg. 3)

Even though it makes no sense to compare Dj's with competely contrasting styles of trance, Armin is superior. From beginning to end Armin flawlessly mixes pounding tracks one into the next, while always keeping an intimate connection to the crowd. The club becomes an interactive setting, with energy transfer between DJ and dancers. Tiesto's set has stayed the same since October (exaggerating a little) and his head is mostly down on the tables. He's gotten too big for his own good, more concerned about post party fun then satisfying the crowd.

paco couldn't have said it better....all the tiesto lovers just have a hard time excepting the obvious. Tiesto is good, but stop trying to protect his image.

OMG... I was there, listened to both Armin and Tiesto.. spoke to others.. and many of us are of the opinion that Tiesto was better..

How am I protecting his image?? And more importantly why would I wanna protect his image?
<tuss>
tiesto only seems to play the #1 tracks atm, while armin seem to play the trance he loves, plus armin mixes better than tiesto, and is not such a jerk (ie: his last performance i saw), i've seen tiesto 8 times, armin 3, imo, tiesto was untouchable in the 99-00 era, no doubt, now armin is much more in tune, and a much better dj. although corsten beats'em both,in production and dj'ing, that's how i see it.

ya mon.

Actually, we Tiesto lovers have a hard time trying to understand why there are still so many Tiesto haters out there, especially when he comes to Canada and basically owns us all with his sets.:p

Take a look at Armin's Cd's versus Tiesto's Cd's....no comparison at all. Tiesto definitely owns in that area.

Bottomline...Tiesto has become lost in his image. I stood behind the Dj booth for awhile on Friday night, and when he turned around to pick his next vinyl, the way he was dancing and ONLY looking at the girls made me think he thought he was some type of guido striper. Dancing all cocky and greasy like against the glass. I don't know, Maybe you like that stuff, eh Durafei!....to each his own. It totally turned my off him forever. It was just that look in his eyes like, "hey look at me...i'm the best." I was a huge Tiesto Fan for the longest time, and always thought i'd like him, but after that display of pure crap the other night....never will i go out of my way to see him again.

I don't know what the hell you are talking about.. I was standing behind the DJ booth myself for a while, and saw exactly the same thing as you did. But I guess I saw it in a different light. When he saw that "We love Tiesto" sign he was literally smiling like a kid! It was amazing to see, I totally didn't expect this. And hm.. I didn't notice him looking ONLY at the girls.. He was smiling at everyone.

But one thing that made me appreciate him the most as a professional was the music interruption. About two months ago, Paul Van Dyk's CD skipped at Aria.. PVD went mad, shouted at everyone and left after only playing for 2 hours... What does Tiesto do? He was certainly upset, but still he continued signing autographs and smiling a bit.. When the sound was back on, he continued playing as if nothing happened.

Common no fighting Tiesto, PVD, Armin all good, they all play electronic music which our scene here in Toronto lacks as we all know with the top 40. We should repect eachothers different tastes

Peace

agreed...

I have seen both armin and tiesto 4 times each now, and i was in montreal to see both this time,
Any one who thinks tiesto's mixing was better than armins was on some really good drugs.
Tiestos mixes came in too fast and too loud.
Tiesto's set was incredible
But in the end i think armins a better producer
and dj.
and definately more of a crowd pleaser, true he drops anthems, but they only become anthems because we love the songs,
AVB should be #1 next year, he was way more hyped up than tiesto,
AVb spins more trancey than tiesto now.
BTW Tiesto spun a 50 cent remix of hey shawty its yo birfday.
lost a lot of respect for him after that.
But the night was one of the best ive had
