Totally agreed, not attaching criminal records to otherwise good citizens is much different than tolerating establishments like they do in Holland.

As much as I would like to see this succeed, I doubt it will.

I'm pretty sure marijuana is still illegal in all parts of Canada, the common mistake everyone is making is they think decriminalization is the same thing as legalization (but it's not). Smoking up anywhere is still illegal, but if you possess small amounts of marijuana, then it will not go on your criminal record, you will just get a fine.

yes this is true, but in TORONTO they have said that they find the new law etc.. to be to confusing and therfore there will be no fines/arrests until further notice

that is my understanding but i may have heard wrong

They also said that they can make the arrest but not process the charges untill the changes are made. Once the legislation passes your arrest be it 6 months later will then be processed according to the law in place. im not a frequent pot smoker but i cant say its worth the fine just to puff in public

Actually, the chronic is also illegal in Amsterdam. They have a similar rule as we soon will in that it is decriminalized. Within the red light district they actually "look the other way" for the cafe's as long as they don't stock too much product at any one time. If you are caught with a joint in another area of the city you very well may receive a fine - just like it will be here.

Hm... that doesn't explain the dude I saw at the airport who was talking on the cell phone and smoking a fatty at the same time :D
SeventhSun
yeah thats wrong, i jkust came back from there, most of the coffeeshops are in the shopping area, i walked by cops while puffing a joint in the sloterdijk area, and they still didnt care, its not just one place, its the whole country that tolerates it.
BigTongue
what is sparking up a joint at 4:20 in front of the police HQ going to prove? that the guy is cool or something?

I think there should be a liscense for people to smoke that - people like him are an embarassement to cannibas smokers everywhere

You are an embrassment to humanity for speaking of a sacred herb like this!

What? A Bloody licence to smoke cannabis? You got your wires up there all twisted eh? A plant is a natural living thing like you and I, to have legislations binding to a natural growing organism, sheesh! I should have you register for a licence for being alive. LOL!

I'd rather smoke pot for the rest of my life than having to deal with alchohol and rage in my system. Pot smokers do not endanger the lives of innocents with their reckless driving. If you got the brains to even do some research, you probably wouldn't talk the way you do.

It's people like you who follow the "followers" and cling on to the "Stigmatization" of toking, puffing or whatever you call it these days.

Enuff said....^^^^^btw, if I were you, I would OPEN My mind UP! ;) LOL ^^^^^^

Yes, Toronto Hemp Company has moved ONE Block South from their 2nd storey crib. The store is much bigger now. It's right around the corner of the street down.

There are currently no marijuana laws with regards to possession of under 30 grams in Ontario.

Tokers have been doing it over on the West Coast, Vancouver BC with the Blunt Bros Cafe at Hastings... ;) Pretty wicked place to check out.

Other than that..bottom line: A Plant is A Plant. You don't smoke it, then you've no right to critique. Lots of lawyers, judges, doctors use cannabis for insights into life and theories...what have you done lately? Listened to Tiesto's Nyana CD for the 420th time? LOL!

Take it easy!

take it easy cheech... if you didn't relize it, that comment was sarcasm about the liscensing.. I'm just pointing out there's idiots out there who try and publicize the legalization by doing stupid crap like that... I mean you smokers always say it's "no big deal" so why make it a big deal? and FYI, i doubt you care, I used to smoke, I don't anymore... i grew out of that stage and really don't need that high anymore.. but to each their own... I got nothing against you for wanting to smoke it, I just wish buddy wouldn't be such a "shooter" and make a big deal in front of a cops station...
Fire999
Hey Chong!

Excuse my tripping-over-the-wire effects I've cast upon you...lol! You know how it is....I did not notice the sarcasm there....but yes, I do agree with you that whole deal with the Police HQ was sort of a propaganda type of acitivity. However, if no one speaks up, who will? Look at Iraq War for example....it's all about who's on TV these days....everyone's ultimate goal is to become a famous character and then either burn out or fade away after....isnt life a vicious cycle? LOL!

I am glad that you went past that stage of smoking...I use mj for my pains and ailments which is why I defended this plant so strongly. You are entitled to your own opinion and so am I, so let's just leave it as that....

Regards,
Cheech <---I like this! Thanks! BTW, Tommy is gonna get 5 years for selling glass....OMFG! You actually believe this ! LOL! We're gonna miss him on "That 70's Show" from now on....
