I mean come on, that is nothing when you compare it to the "attacks" on black people

First of all, since when do we compare one minority to another in regards to hate crimes?

Even one is too much! But we know we could never bring the numbers down to that... but we could sure as hell drop them from 436 a year in Britain alone!

Secondly, if you're gonna make such a comment, at least back it up!
You say Anti-semetic attack dont compare in numbers to those against black - yet you provide us with nothing...besides your world of course.... and i don't know how many people on this board are ready to just take you word for it.

Oh, I'm sure the lynch mobs and hate group uprisings of the 1960s were nothing compared to European hate crimes in the past three years

You can't compare 40 years ago to the past 3! It doesn't make sense! I'm sure you'll agree with me! Why don't we just pull figures from the early 40's!

I'm talking TODAY!

Alright alright, so we live in a different society today than 40 years ago, but it's not that different. Remember that black guy who was tied to the back of a truck and dragged to death? Or how about Rodney King case? These happened within the past 10 years, so as you can see not much has changed in hatred against blacks. Now I'm going to stop because we should be talking about Jewish hate crimes.

because you are saying that 1308 attacks is a lot and that it is a big problem, but it is nothing when you are going to compare them with attacks on other ethnic people.

and no, I don't have any numbers for you, but you know that I am right

Even if hate crimes aren't occuring, you can see the hardline anti-Semitism in the US. Lot's of people feel that a good insult is to call someone a Jew. Or, Jews are constantly being singled out. Europe's anti-semitism seems to be declining little by very little, while in America it's on a fast rise.

Where the hell are you pulling these stats from!?!?

European anti-semitism has been reaching peaks seen in the 1930's throughout Germany!!! You're saying it's on the decline!!?!?? WTF?! You're so wrong it's unbelievable! ITS AS HIGH AS EVER! Rabbi's getting stabed on the way to worship, families getting run over while they walk on the Sabbath. Jewish families wake up to the surprise that a swastika is painted on their door with blood. Movtale contails thrown into Jewish places of worship. A place thats been around for thousands of years is now destroyed because of one mans deep rooted hate. I'm sure you meant to use the word INCLINE, rather than decline!

don't exaggerate dude. I've been living as a Jew in **Austria** for more than ten years and havent had one bad personal experience except for the biased views towards the mid-east conflict and the fact that people regardf me as a "representative" of Jews/Israel and always confront me with questions etc.

By the way: I've read some poll not too long ago showing that the countries with the highest rate of antisemitic views amongst the pop. are Spain, Italy, France while on the other hand you got more liberal places like Holland and Germany
DrummeRaver86
First off...Mike, clam down before you have an anurysm. I may have been wrong about what I said, but so are you. To generalize is wrong, and you happen to be genera;izing. I can say for sure that not ALL the european countries are anti-semitic. Whenever to talk on the subject you say "europe", which is wrong. And I think that you're definitely blowing this out of proportion. I lived in europe for 7 years, and I had MANY jewish friends and accqutainces. never once was there any sort of attack aginst them, or any of their friends or family. The problem is you take these isolated incidents, and you make them seem like everyday occurences, You're wrong!
Galapidate
But if you notice, he's generalizing the issue as "Europe" because Guiliani generalized with Europe.

NO, I generalized it as "Europe", because it's various "European" countries that I'm speaking of.

I'm well aware that many parts of Europe have come very close to extinguishing most of their anti-Semitic crimes, but the fact remains that "Europe", for some odd reason seems to have a lot more hate for Jew's -- just my opinion...

But there's lots of anti-Semitism in other areas of the world. There A LOT more in the Middle East for example. Even in the U.S. hate crimes in general have grown over the past decades.

Actually, that's another generalization. Not all Middle Eastern countries have problems with anti-semitism. For example I'll use Lebanon because I know it best. There are A LOT of Lebanese jews living nside and outside of lebanon. They are always respected. There aren't attacks against Jews and there isn't a huge amount of discrimination. PLus, in other Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the Emirates, etc. there is hardly a Jewish population to begin with, therefore there isn't much to discriminate against.
