umm....got an audio editor on your PC?
you won't be able to remove just the vocals, but a bit of editing should get it past those bloody censors. |

| i've heard oakenfold do this on his live in cuba mix. there is a part where it says "oh i love your thick juicy cock!", and he just sorta scratches the playing record a bit there, first back then forward quickly over the offending words it sounds like. |

| or then you could always get the australian cdm which has the instrumental version. this only works with a cd deck though, as the instrumental version was never released on vinyl!:D |

You can always cut over to the next track for a few seconds and then cut back. Depending what each of the tracks sound like, this is a really tight way to tease the crowd anyway. It does take a bit of planning with which part of the cue track to cut into, though. Unless you have one of the newest CD decks that allows you to cut segments out seamlessly on the fly, then this is how I would do it.
You may also want to try to use a filter or wah effect that may drown out the vocals...or just adjust the high and mid eqs, though I think that you'll still probably be able to hear the words with the eqing. The wah/filter effect should work nicely though! |

I like the idea of scratching over it.
EDIT (one more idea): Or,if you don't like that...if you have a battle record (or anything with just like, spoken words or a sound). You can just cut some word in place of "", etc. That totally depends on the track though..i haven't heard the track you're talking about, and most trance tracks it probably wouldn't sound good. Some it might though, especially if you found a good sound. Just an idea...
Or...if you're not into the turntablist aspect of the turntables, seriously I don't think it would be that bad to just be like all the other censors and just stick the crossfader curve on a scratch setting and fade over to a silent channel just during the offending word itself. You know..."bull- and the -ing society" |

depending on the radio station, you might not need to do anything.
I didnt see where you were from, but our local stations have swears all the time(well a few do). In song its ok. The on air personality however cant swear.
rap songs unedited, n!gger, bitch etc all that passes...depending on the station. I hear a house track the other day that was so dirty it made me laugh.
some are conservative and dont allow it.
talk to the manager or something. |
