19.99 for goodlife!?
That's amazing...

So sounds like Good Life has got it's ups in people's minds...
Perfect, I shall go and check it out one more time before 'the big decision'

And yes, when I was checking out Premier, some random guy came up to me and told me about how Premier is the worst with their finance department (he said they sometimes charge you double!) so yeah, thanks for the heads up man... plus, thanks all you guys!

I'm at goodlife too, but my specific location is just an average gym, nothing too special. Each Goodlife has different facilities and services, so go check the one out in your area. Trust me they will be happy to show you around... ;)

I prefer the little Gyms that some pools offer beside them. Costs me only 28-34 bucks for simple equipment and a nice whirlpool on the side as well. I would never spend Huge amounts of money on a gym or "Fitness club" (Isn't it the same thing?:conf: )

whoa wtf .. 3 TOTA's work out at the Steeles & VP Goodlife .. ??

gotta love that one eh ! everything looks so damn futuristic .. :D

for TAs from mississauga, i suggest International Family Fitness rigth across the street from the AMC theatre on Wiston Churchill. not only is it a well maintained facility, the air is filtered and enriched with oxygen (for a longer workout), the machines are pleanty so that there are never lineups, diverse so you can hit every muscle group, there's great student financing plans, and best of all... there's a exclusive women's area... so it attracts a lot of hotties... :)

i work out at home. i hate going to the gym and getting distracted by girls walking around in cut off tops and daisy dukes. you would be suprized of how work outs you can do with dum bells and a bench;)

I've heard a lot about this place but haven't had the chance to check it out yet...I'm now stuck with a choice of planet workout and that one...planet i can just bike to-very close to my place...they're both 24hrs i think which is always a bonus..

i've also been to premier in '99 for an year but its too commercial for my taste and a socializin place for many...5 minute chats between each set good luck gettin your turn at the machine..

golds is the most 'pro' gym i've been to..its also 24hrs and many serious lifters, excellen machines, good music, etc. a bit pricey and location a bit off for me now that i'm even lazier to drive...

for those in brampton, i suggest bodyworks on steeles and 410...i went there for 6 months when i used to work in the area...damn cheap, decent quality equip, friendly people and staff and 24 hrs...

I suggest going to a gym for at least a week before joining.

I've been members at 8-10 gyms in 4 different provinces and can tell you that they vary soooooo much from one to another. I can say for sure though that the one gym that I'm trapped at (Premier) is definitely amongst the worst run gyms I've ever been with. The location on Burnhamthorpe and Erindale Stn in Mississaugs is BY FAR THE WORST GYM I'VE EVER WORKED OUT AT....EVER. In fact, I hate it so much, I drive 10kms to the one in Oakville instead. I can't wait till my year expires next month. I'm never going back there. Make sure you also find out what the contract terms are because you don't want to be stuck like I was for 12 months at a POS gym.

Of course i'm super fussy, so that doesn't help, and having been to good gyms in my life makes me expect alot more than most people too.

Did I mention the Premier location on Burnhamthorpe and Erindale Stn in Mississaugs is BY FAR THE WORST GYM I'VE EVER WORKED OUT AT....EVER?

good life sucks at least the location I went to on bloor st. It was obviously converted from an office to a gym and that sucks and you notice it only after a while. Bad Equipement and generally bad facilitites. I used to go to bally's and I think they are good value for the money about 45$ a month but clean rooms, good music, lots of equipment and professional stuff.

I went to Goodlife in the Manulife center and though it was amazing. (besides being a trance addict i'm a workout addict too) But i get my memberships at the Athletic Center at U of Toronto. Its 30$ per month if you're a student and it has a sweet gym, 3 olympic size pools, tennis courts, track, squash/raquetball, pretty much everything you want.

Well I go to Extreme Fitness just off of HWY 7 and Yonge. I find it's a pretty okay gym.
