If you like the tunes or not doesn't matter. Scooter pays all copyrights of the tunes they might copy.

Scooter has one of the largest groups of dedicated fans, who just like the happy vibes. You might try visit some of their gigs: FUN!

Well said! It's not a bad thing to take off from someone else's idea, as long as it's in a legal way!

I know Mike is Push. What am I supposed to say? "Mike is Push tried to sue them just awhile ago." That's using your head!

I thought most English people knew basic grammatical rules, but I guess there are always exceptions.

The fact of the matter is that Scooter steals melodies without permission constantly.

You should say that:
'M.I.K.E did so and so' or 'Push did so and so'
rather than 'mike from push did so and so'

Well, it would actually seem that I do, and you do not (see below).

Saying Scooter steals melodies would suggest that Scooter is one person - where infact Scooter are three people, so you should say that Scooter steal melodies.

It is very doubtful that Scooter just stole something from M.I.K.E.
A large record company would not allow a track to recieve a commercial release if it was a blatent rip off, unless they had paid royalties.

I would suggest that M.I.K.E was paid royalties - and no doubt made a load as Weekend probably sold millions. Compare this to him releasing tracks on vinyl with only a few thousand pressings at a time - the whole weekend using the Strange World melody was probably very good for him.

Considering that you have probably never bought a vinyl/cd by M.I.K.E, I don't think that you have any right to accuse someone else of ripping him off.

A group name is singular. Therefore saying "Scooter steals melodies" is correct. I can say Mike from Push because Mike is in fact from Push. And Push was not paid royalties, which is why he pushed for legal action.

And the fact that I've never purchased a Push vinyl means absolutely nothing. That's like saying "You've never been to America, so you can criticize it." And you and I both know that you have, because the British are more than jealous that my country has flourished so far beyond yours it's laughable. It's time you dropped the whole envy thing and accept the fact that the United States is far more superior than Great Britain.

You know this how? someone told you?

Have you ever even bought a M.I.K.E/Push Vinyl?

You idiot.

I don't need to OWN THE VINYL to know whether or not the melody has been taken. Live sets? MP3s of singles?

The point is that you have never bought any of his vinyls - and have only downloaded mp3s.

Yet you have the cheek to accuse someone else of ripping him off, who infact gave him thousands in royalties.

Have you even paid a penny to M.I.K.E for the endless quality productions you have pirated off him?

No? then you are the idiot.

So, do you say "Ferry Corsten from System F" or "Armin from Armin Van Buuren" also? It sounds.. gay.

On-topic: Scooter made very cool tunes still a few years ago. Sadly though, the newest album contains nothing but covers/ripoffs/whatever. But do as JP, oDrori and GrimReaper say, listen to other songs by them too, not just the singles.

not an old "Scooter" track, but I used to like Ratty - Living on Video...
