Well, it would actually seem that I do, and you do not (see below).
Saying Scooter steals melodies would suggest that Scooter is one person - where infact Scooter are three people, so you should say that Scooter steal melodies.
It is very doubtful that Scooter just stole something from M.I.K.E.
A large record company would not allow a track to recieve a commercial release if it was a blatent rip off, unless they had paid royalties.
I would suggest that M.I.K.E was paid royalties - and no doubt made a load as Weekend probably sold millions. Compare this to him releasing tracks on vinyl with only a few thousand pressings at a time - the whole weekend using the Strange World melody was probably very good for him.
Considering that you have probably never bought a vinyl/cd by M.I.K.E, I don't think that you have any right to accuse someone else of ripping him off. |

And our economy isn't faltering, it's settling down. We had a number of years in the early 90's of staggering growth - it's something no market can sustain so eventually it had to slow down. It was all to do with Wretched hijacking this thread- with something that really had no relevance - which he got wrong anyway. Then when I pointed out his minor error - rather than saying thanks decided to turn this in to some sort of mental political thread and offend people.
If he is going to go and hijack a thread with irrelevant information he could at least make sure it is correct :stongue:.
It has nothing to do with grammatical error - it was about somebody thinking they know everything about trance - when they actually know bugger all :p

scooter was making hit songs when ferry corsten was still ting in his diaper. so just because scooter became more mainstream (commercial if you like), that does NOT mean they suck. Love how "young" trance fans these days put down bands from the mid 90's.
If it wasnt for the early influence of bands like scooter you would not be posting crap like these on a trance website.
if you dont like them that does not mean they suck. I love them and could care less what Ferry Cortsen calls himself this week and which band he belongs to, but I dont go and start posting that "he sucks".
why dont you listen to these 2 songs off the new scooter album and honestly say its bad music.
