It's slow, commercial CD. Tiesto has this known trend. His set in 2003 NYE in Miami was slow too, but if you wanna hear him slammin'...get his latest HOB show in Chicago. Hard for 4.5 hours non-stop, banging, screaming good ol' trance!!!

Kia Kaha..kewl thanks for not taking offence..I just have issues with this one (among other things ;) )
Philby...Dude I never realised who you were until I read who u are seeing..Make sure to catch up at the next 5am
JayKue...I knew from the start u liked similar to me..yeah I will try and get u a mix CD...I have recorded dozens...but I am never happy with the finished product after 3 listens..I am still working out 'flow' and 'too hard at the end' issues...but I swear I'll get a goody out soon (i hate PLaying to brick walls...windows are good but the people arent in front of me dancing) |

 Um, where have you been? Tiesto hasn't been uplifting for a LONG time now. |
Funny that you say that, because most TAs here are still living in the past. They have Tiesto in their avatars, and they all shout "omg tiesto", not because they love him now, because they still wanna believe he hasn't changed.
FFS people here are still talking about gouryella and all that, stuff that is YEARS old, they're in denial about the new Tiesto and they're still putting up pictures of him in their sigs and avatars...
 |

COs u are still very young and you get off on AvB dropping tracks that all sound the friggin same |
and WTF is wrong with that?
I get off on tracks that have energy, good beat, and good melodies
and I hate boring crap that you have to strain yourself to get into. |

| I liked CD 2, I have only listened to it 2-3 times though since I had heard all the songs on the CD so many times before it came out. |

| er... after reading the first post, am I the only one that thought the guy was refering to Nyana the song and not Nyana the CD? :conf: |

I don't think so, but then he'd have a good point, the song is kinda weak :p |

Right..... |
that's it.
you quoted me perfectly.
exactly what i said:
| quote: |
this coming from a radiohead fan.......
i wouldnt count as an analysis.
try again. |
in the spectrum of taste in music, i'm much more colourful than you, so to speak.
exactly.
i'm in a distan dimension, taste-in-music wise..and you're still only human.
exactly my words.
i have evolved as to the point where i can actually rate taste in music and compare it to other beings'
it's what i do.
it's like you highlighted a section of my book and shoved it in my face, mate.
however, you didnt really look at the caption on that thing, did you?
i am meself a radiohead fan;
but if i were to analyse nyana, i wouldnt label CD1 as Magik 8...and certainly not Outdoor as ISOS4
they're incomparable
solely and completely incompatible, even.
hell, look back at the first post
| quote: |
Where the hell is the UPLIFT??!! The emotion? The feeling of being on a journey, that you normally get with any Tiesto mix album, even the slow ones like ISOS.
If you're into that sort of slow wanky fashion-store-background-music type of trance then I guess it's great but f.f.s. we are talking about TIESTO here ... the man behind Gouryella - the man behind Silence ... the man who used to send shivers down my spine with sheer emotion in just about every one of his mixes.
|
MY 'TASTE IN MUSIC'-NUTS ARE BIGGER THAN YOURS.
.........exactly what i said.
now, to quote you...
| quote: | | There is a lot of emotion in this album, but appearantly you don't know how to identify with it. It sounds as if you've never heard these songs live either. If you ever heard "As the Rush Comes", "Never", Or "Chutney" dropped during a peak moment of a set, you'd realize that all these tunes are massively danceable and/or intensely emotional. |
i'm quite able to identify with it. much more than to my own.
i'm quite able to identify the emotion, sure.
but, matey...admit it
there was no peak moment in any of those two sets
if you could count classify them as such.
it's a badly designed rollercoaster ride;
once it's done,
instead of the chills...the internal softness, the butterflies
i can only feel but my body's willingness to spew my own guts
by either extreme, mind you.
now, remember..
my 'taste in music'-nuts are bigger than yours.
keep that in mind,
you musical lesser-being. |
