Singles vs. Sets

| What do guys prefer to listen to? I personally am a big fan of listening to dj sets. To me, a single is only as good as the set it's in. Trance music for me was always about a set of songs that come together to make something greater. What about u? |

I do both singles and sets, but I will go with sets:
1. Hear lots of songs in one file.
2. Since a song is mixed into a set, you don't need to hear the unnecessary bass parts from the vinyl at the very beginning and end. |

| I prefer singles, it’s more flexible. Depending on the mood u’re in, u can mix and match 2 suit. While in a set, u’re at the mercy of the dj. |

| Sets are what got me into Trance! You can take a crappy single, and in the right position within a set it can make you fly! Trance is about a jorney for me, and singles just don't take you on a jorney. I can't see myself listening to singles all the time. As strange as it sounds, I find singles to be too repetitive outside sets! :p |

| singles... i mean each song is a story on itself. a set is just a mesh of stories that the dj produces. oh and cuz dj's also sometimes have the nonsense to mix out of a song right in the middle.. yeah sets are great but they kill lots of space on my hard drive too... |

| I too prefer singles but if I'm lazy I'll listen to a set that suits my mood (mainly chillout stuff). |
