| All our teacher had was an old kasette which contained some weird old christmas songs sung by an old swedish guy, the tape was something she got when casettes were invented in the previous millennium!! sometimes it slowed down and you could not make out a single word, other times there was so much noise that it might as well had been trance we were listening to, it was impossible to make out a single instrument! this lasted for 3hours, since she had to restart it when most of us fell asleep. i took an "electronic music" class in which were only 2 other people, the teacher constantly repeated himself, made us write down about synthesizers, and it basically went nowhere.
but he did make us do 2 presentations / papers with audio materials on a band / genre of our choice... i did techno for the first one and faked D&B for the second one which i didn't get to present... oh well, at least 3 more people are more educated about what 'real' techno is. |
