Ok so the past two days since i have been going to the gym, after about 20-40 minutes of working out i start feeling nausiated (however you spell it) and tired and all weird. I've been working out for about a year now and this has only happened once other then the past two times which were recent, and when it happened a while ago i barfed. SO as of monday i went to the gym, felt crappy again after bout 20-40 minutes or so of working on my back and shoulders, so i went to bathroom and cooled down since i thought i was going to barf but i didnt, so i went back and continued my workout very mildly and left shortly. NOW today i go and do my chest, and after finishing about 9 sets about 30-40 minutes or so, i start feeling hot, tired, and nausiated again, so i go to the bathroom and chill in the stall THINKING im going to barf again cause i have the same feeling, and i dont once again, but it seems like im seriously really close and about to. But then out of nowhere i realized that im sweating like a motherfuker... i get up after its threw and i kinda feel normal again and my shirt is wet as hell.... and im like WTF just happened?..... i told my mom and shes like its a sign of a heart attack we'll goto the doctor... or whatever she said, im like great a 17 year old with signs of a heart attack.... nebody got ideas?:conf:

It could be that you are sensitive to humidity or that you are not getting enough sleep. When I don't get enough sleep and I work out I get tired quickly and nausiated.

Another possibility is that you aren't warming up enough or at all.

A couple things come to mind on what is happening:

1. Not getting enough water, food, and sleep. Pretty self explanitory on how to fix that.

2. You could becomming sick, in which case take a break.

3. you could be over doing it. You didn't state what you were doing for exercises, but this might be a possibility.

well i have been doing same exact exercise routing for about 8 months now..... it cant be cause of the type of exercise or warm up cause i have been doing the same routine for a while..... food i ate eggs yesterday and i felt like that..... so today i decided not to eat nething... and it happened again and in a worse way... but that doesnt necessarily mean its food.... i dono.

It sounds like dehydration, in which case you just need to stay constantly hydrated after and BEFORE (<---more important) your sets.

I doubt it's related to a serious heart condition, although your circulatory system might be a possible culprit. Perhaps your anemic (have you changed your diet recently?). It may only be a mild arrhythmia, in which case you need to get an echocardiogram, and lighten up your work out for a while. Arrhythmia may be caused by strenuous exercise and basically means that your heart beats irregularly (skips a beat or has an extra beat).

-Do you get fluttering sensations in your chest?
-Shortness of breath?
-Does this nausea only happen when your exerting yourself, or does it happen at irregular intervals?
-Has this occured to you when you were a child?

In any case, go 2 a doctor.

its called "the first time youve ing worked out hard." ive been working out for 3 years and get that feeling every time i leave the gym. I get it running, biking, swimming. Talk to any serious athlete and theyll tell you the same. You arent trying hard enough in track if you dont go throw up after a race.

dont worry about it. Stay hydrated. Breathe deep. walk it off if you need to. its normal. dont worry

well i have this thing called "ADVAIR" and i usually forget to take it.... its like an anti-inflamatory thing for my lungs.. shortage of breath may be the cause, althought i didnt use it before i went, it mite be the cause also... im just hoping its not serious cuz i plan on going all week and im pretty suree... that when i get that feeling and i continue ill pass out or sometin.

werd. you probably were dehydrated.

but at the same time it COULD be that you're working out harder.

my team used to do sprints, and one time after going at 100% speed doing 2 sets of 4x250 meters i got so sick, i got insane pain in the right side of my head, started feeling really dizzy and ... but lots of water, some advil, and 20 minutes laters i was running again

Yes, it sounds like dehydration to me. Make sure to drink plenty of water about an hour before you start. Drink a little from a fountain or bottle during your workout. You are not having a heart attack.:p

OProbably just something that needs to be evacuated in your body, happens to me also, u feel crappy for about a week or two and it drains away, dont sweat it too much, it should go away... question is: Are u feeling ok when NOt working out ?

Ps: heart attack at 17? I sincerely doubvt it, unless u have antecedants or hereditary (is this the word?) heart problems...

go see a doc if not sure
