What i have been waiting for...At Last!!!

Hi all,
At last i have a chance to play in a club and proove
myself!!!! hopefully.
I work as a cleaner (ty job) at westlands
(Where they make helicopters). I got talking to
a bloke on my morning shift.....i told him i DJ,
and he was interested....so i gave him a mix tape.
which he liked so i preceeded and gave him a few more.
anyway......
he told me that he is friendly with a worker on a different
area, who actually is an MC at a club which plays hard trance
out of town, dave joy and mark eg regularly play there.
so we got introduced.......and i bought master from him.
he looked at one of my tracklistings, and he thought it was
a little to commercial, with tracks like solarcoaster,
open your eyes, superstring, sunrise, nothing but you etc etc
so i went home and did a mix with more hard trance tunes,
and i nailed every mix.

He listened to it and was really impressed, and said mixing
was spot on.
He wants me to give him another tape of the stuff i usually
play, and he is going to try and get me a warm up slot at
the club he MC's at!!!!!!

I just hope i dont trainwreck every single track!!
Its gotta be a scary experience dj'ing for the
first time at a club.
anyway ive been reading a book called how to DJ Properly
written by bill brewster & frank broughton, it tells
you how to prepare for your first gig along with the
art of dj'ing. its a great book
Im trying to think of a dj name.
my nickname used to be Marky-G, but there is allready
a dj called that but spelled differently Mark E.G.
The club plays hard trance, but i only like a few hard
tunes.
Anyway cos im warming up i'll play the trance that i like.
so ive got to add variety to my set and think of a good
opening tune |
