where can i get it?

The Waldorf Q is hardware & I guess you're after something in software.
You could try the Superwave VST which is the closest thing to a JP8000 I've heard

Why would you want to use a sound that everyone else uses too?

I was just wondering the exact same thing. :conf:

This is why trance has gone stagnant and hasn't really progressed for the past few years - but that's a whole other argument...

Meh. Every time I use a lead sound different from the supersaw, I get nothing but "cheesy", "too-retro", or "too-techno" comments. Personally, I'm beginning to favor a crisper sound augmented by bell/chime sounds. Makes for a good, epic/grand feel.

FM7 got some cool presets, and if you use Reason: check out --> www.reasonstation.net and download trance charts ( as many you like ), lots of songs allow you to see, how the sounds are created on the synths.
