Is uplifting trance dying?

| I've heard a lot of people saying that uplifting trance doesn't have anywhere else to go and pretty soon, people will stop producing it altogether and produce progressive instead. What do u guys think about this? Will uplifting trance survive the next couple of years? |

| dj slain then you have been missing out on a lot of good uplifting tunes. uplifting is my fav kind of trance and it always will be. the energy and happiness it brings, i love it. |

| i dont think ne kind of trance will they :) its not possible, many of songs r produced daily and yez dis year its been progressive..Tiesto released Uplifting&Progressive which i think most of da songs r uplifting and few progressive :) ne wayz uplifting is never gonna die i know dat 4 sure, trance will alwayz survive :) |

Uplifting trance will die when people die emotionally inside..
It's music based highly on emotional connection..
When people lose the will to feel happy, then maybe.
but don't expect it anytime soon,
and don't forget, trends come and go. If you think listening to any one type of music** makes you cool, think again.

| or ate too many paint chips as a kid. or maybe your mom did crack or something when she was like 4 months pregnant. basically if you listen to country you should be put out of your misery. |

| i think that uplifting trance is going goodbye, its a shame too...i miss all of the good productions set up by robert miles and paul van dyk, pvd hasnt had a good uplift since for an angel :( |

Anyone who says there isn't much being produced anymore could not be more wrong.. you really don't know where to find it.. believe me it's there..
I have been thinking for the last year that there isn't much neew stuff being made that is truly massive.. but recently I have stumbled on to a whole mess of it and implications that it's always been there..
just not in front of my face or sitting at the front of the stack at the record shop..
There is some absolutely SICK stuff being produced, it's just a little harder to find..
go to holland and try to say a word about uplifting trance dying and they'll laugh into next year!!!!
you just have to know where to find it..
I don't ever reveal tracks because I like keeping things underground and I like when I'm one of the only ones around playing them.. but this one I don't mind giving away..
you know that track by Cygnus X -Superstring?
What most people don't know is that it's really a diluted form of an older track from 2 yrs ago called Superstring by AKIRA INC.
And the original version ing DESTROYS the cygnus x version..
I have yet to hear anyone else play it and have kept it in my box now for the last year and a half.. it en' rips on a loud soundsystem!!
anyways just some food for thought..

Well, I dont think uplifting will die, indeed , is still pretty much strong and alot more established, although shared with other sounds that have appeared, spreading like branches, uplifting will always be there, but I know we dont get more stuff from MAtt Darey, wich was one of the top ones!
as every year has its sound, and as many can see, sounds make comebacks, uplifting may as well get a comeback as strong as it was on 99, but maybe more underground . |
