GKGG - How was it? (pg. 4)

The party was ing WICKED!! :)

I really liked it! Heard some superb sets (Michel de Hey, John Digweed, Carl Cox), met some interesting people (anonymous English women :), some TA's (Crusader, Az, Chinese looking TA (Mdma?),UKTA-chick (??)...sorry, lost all the names ) and had a really good time.

The athmosphere was superb, talked to a lot of people who were surprised that i was dutch and that we came all the way from Holland to GKGG. Too bad for the mud, my trousers are e now. Hope the washingmachine helps a bit.
Also too bad i didnt talk that much with you guys. Met some of you near the Kangeroo at the start of Tiesto / End of miss Barbarella, and with Adam Beyer. Hahah, you all looked pretty surprised when i screemed "UK TRANCEADDICT LETS PARTYYYYYYYYYYY!", whahaha. You all sat down and thought "What the ?" :D
Btw, who were the LOVELY chicks at the end at Beyer? Seemed like you knew them Az :)

What can i say more? I loved the whole party! John Digweed rocked, it wasnt that busy in his tent, so there was a lot of room to dance..and snorring some poppers ;)
After that it was Cox-time. It was ing crowded, but hey, he still IS one of the best dj's in the world. He stopped his set twice, because a couple of ing africans were so enthusiastic that they almost climbed up the dj stage. They should have shot the mofo's.

Some points of thought:
- Why the hell did all the people lay/sit/lay-in-a-come in the middle of all the ing tents? I almost tripped several times. Go home if you are tired ;)
- English women rock, they are so direct. They come up to you and talk. In Holland women are cocky....brrrrrrrrr.
- Why wasnt there any floor in the tents? You couldnt sit down properly.
- Is the beer always that expensive in the UK?
- At the entrance: if i wanted, i could have taken 100.000 pills with me . There was NO control at all. Bummer....else i would have taken something with me. But hey, i managed.

Conclusion: Wicked party. Thanks for your hospitality :)

I'm making a report (in Dutch, sorry...) with some pictures. Will post some of the pics here also..

£5 for burgers.. hmm. funny that all of the bars were empty all of the time, it's almost as if everyone was spanked on substances other than drink *confused*

Just remembered that we stopped off in a Welcome Break soon out of Stratford. It was fkin well funny - the place was about 80% gobal's and 20% normal people on their sunday's out. They were walking around the place very nervously checking everyone out as if they'd just walked onto the set of a zombie film or summink.

They knew something was wrong, apart from the mud thing, but they couldn't really figure it out.

:haha:

LOL

i can imagine that, it was a similar scene on our way down to GC NEC last november, but there was 4 coach fulls of us
RobertRollie
Our coach didnt get there until almost 5, so i missed meeting any of the TA's there :(. By 7 I was well on my way to expecting a y night... Outdoor events are always shakey at best i reckon, and by midnight it was just too much hassle to move between tents....

However, at 8 I waded to the front of the main tent for Push's set... ing amazing, when they opened with legacy it was like i was coming up, despite not taking anything. By the end of their set i was flying high.

Unfortunately mistress barbara ruined it for me. Keep that ing tech out of the trance tent IMO. And i dunno what the fergie was thinking, is he suddenly a techno dj now?

Anyway I reckon Tiesto's set was pretty good, armin was also excellent and Marco V was ing mint, but by that stage i was off my head so i prolly wouldnt have noticed if it sucked. Ferry's set was... different. It got a bit deep and dark in the second half, bit of a change from his normal uplifting stuff, but i still enjoyed it.

Sunup, look at all the dirty skanky looking ******s. At least the coach home was quick. Just pissed off i didnt get to meet any of you. :(

Its all gone too fast for me it seems like only ten minutes ago i was lookin forward to going. anyway it was pretty mint meeting everyone again though i managed to not meet loads of people aswell, the sets were a bit below par i enjoyed ferry and armins set best probably and marco v and push live were the biggest dissapointments how did he play strange world ffs. overall it was good fun and the mud seemed really good fun at the time and less fun when i had to try and hack the baked on mud off my shoes and travel home in them.

I think ur all women for complaining about the mud, its not like that was avoidable given the weather. (NEXT YEAR - i suggest they put a big bubble over the whole site) The cost for everything was absolutely ridiculous. Drinks and food was a rip off (as expected) and the fun fair was a joke on price. bunjee's for £20!
The Arena tent was obviously the best - i did travel across the LAKE to the DnB arena - i thought it got rave reviews last year, but it sounded (i now know it was sidewinder who was playing, but hey... it was f**kin )
back in Main room... Mistress Barbera played a lively set, but i guess everyone had danced their arses off by then, cos as Tiesto came on everyone decided to just stand there and watch rather than dance. So :whip: anyone guilty of wrecking my night out! Although most of Tiesto's set was tunes i'd heard the previous night @ Turnmills (and were not new even then), at least the guy kept some kind of ambience and power going... after that it was downhill IMO... Fergie played a very techno heavy set, i was at least expecting some hard house tunes, but no, it was all techno, and fell asleep after about half hour. Armin afterwards started well, but again faded. Marco V was doing a better job, but still old tunes. Ferry was pretty good, but was hampered by half the front of the crowd having to stop for some poor guy having a fit from the strobe lighting.

To be honest, ur quite correct about this, even tho i didnt see half of those dj's ur right.

Btw, i want to make my apologies to Miss Kitty i think, cause i maybe scared her :) I asked "Who was blowing who? Cause i want to make some pictures for the 'Ta p0rn session' or something. She gave me a look, like "WTF are you talking about!". She didnt see i was kidding ;)

And moderators, cant you merge the 2 review threads please? I'm posting in both :D :D
