Of course people will percieve you differently online because of the way you act on here and then take that action (if you act in a manner that is inappropriate, ie insulting one's friends online etc) and apply it to you in person. What else can someone do when reading/talking to you online and seeing how you behave on here? They have to have some frame of reference in which to see how you'll behave in the real world. As for the that reason of percieving you differently, it wasn't so silly. There's an entire thread about that that I will not bring up. It's like me going up to Hardcore trancer online and constantly arguing with him and telling him to off and then in person acting completely different just because "it's the internet"?? and we're not supposed to take it seriously? Sure sometimes that applies but there are certain situations where it does and doesn't. I think you have it backwards... |
