I'm not a huge gay bar guy... I've been to Fly a bunch of times, but don't usually like the music (too tribal). If I go to IT, I enjoy downstairs in the Pura Lounge more than upstairs (same reason).
I'd rather go to the Guvernment/Koolhaus cuz I like the crowd and music better. Lately, I've also been travelling a lot to see some of my Fav DJs. (Tiesto and Armin in Mtl, Rauhaufer in NYC, Hope to go to Gatecrasher to see PVD, AVB and Ferry in August).
Doesn't mean I'm not game to hit Fly if the right DJ comes to town though (Victor Calderone was there a couple weeks back)Fly definitely doesn't do Trance very well... LOL |

Thats a little harsh to say in those words... Instead it may have been easier to say that a Fag Hag is a friend of a gay or bisexual person... So what do you call a guy that hangs out with lesbians??
I personally never heard of these definitions... I am a member of the "tribe"... I am open to everyone I know and am not worried about people.... I love trance.... OH and there is such things as gay Junglists..... Anyway.... Talk to you guys at System if I get to go... |

Of course, I didn't know I was going to have to speak on behalf of all gay men, so maybe I need to take a poll or something to make sure the Gay Mafia don't get pissed off at my definition (LOL).
I welcome all fag hags/fruit flies to want to hang out with a somewhat cool fag...
As a newbie, somebody is going to have to give me the drill on System on Friday nights... Been there once, but it was a long time ago.

hey chris,
well this friday is the TA night in the VIP room, so it's a great night to come out to system. you just need to e-mail john (ezs2zkl) i know i spelled that wrong. system on fridays is pretty decent esp after the relaunch. it'll mostly be prog in the mainroom but the TA's will be taking care of teh trance (and techno!) in the VIP room. teh crowd is mostly straight, i find it to be a little more gay-positive that guv, sometimes a younger more casual set of ppl.
just come into the VIP room and say hello, we are a pretty welcoming bunch.

I've had some amazing nights there...and I've been going there for about three years now. I'm mostly a techno person, but there's something about Mark Falco (and that asian guy at the top of the stairs, if you know what I mean :) ) that always keeps me coming back. I will only go if Mark is spinning though. Went during pride and practically fell asleep upstairs!
It is also wonderful, I had one of my first-drug experiences there and enjoy a night there from time to time.
Chris, you ought to come out this weekend and meet more of us breeders. But where did you see my picture? (That's not me in my avatar - I wish! :p ) |

Yup, Smilin_jack, it was a bit harsh... Of course, any word that is comprised of the words "fag" and "hag" is a bit harsh any way ya cut it.
