Greetings and Salutations!
Being my first post on these lovely forums, I shall introduce myself. I'm Peter Daris aka PDT, one of the men behind Melbourne Techno Massive and Night Shift, every Friday @ Sugar Suite. I've been reading these forums ever since Steve Strangis told me about them, so I thought it was time I signed up.
Now, I'm not much of a spammer d00d, but I feel you all deserve to know whats happening on Saturday 16th August. Now rather than me simply cutting and pasting what's already on the other forums, TA get's a unique post!
SONIC BOOM is MTM's first medium/large scale event in a venue that is "next to" the infamous Global Village *by next to I mean it is within 100m of the original 3-storey Global Village rave space*. Perhaps some of you can remember the Marco Bailey event at this venue last year. We aim to transform this space!
Being a predominately techno affair with the likes of PDT vs Robert Anthony, Andrew Marsh, Degenerator, Serotone [live] vs Linas [live], Simon Digby & Kelsta, I thought I might bring to your attention of the closing set for the night, Richie Rich (Oldskool Trance Morning Set).
Now I'm talking about Oldskool Oliver Lieb, Cosmic Baby, Kid Paul etc...Being Trance forums here, I'd love to see just what you guys and gals would expect to hear from Richie Rich, so please post some suggestions!
We're hoping this will be a fantastic night, so come along and have a great time with us!

MTM Caps will be available this Friday at Night Shift, so if your down for one, be sure to get to the club as they are really selling fast!!
On another note, guest list for SONIC BOOM is filling pretty quickly so those who want to save themselves $5, email your names here
NRG 6 was damn fun! Unfortunately we have sound issues to contend with and what could have been a fricken awesome set was held back by these issues. Rest assured, SONIC BOOM will be loud and banging *and damn trancey in the morning!* |

Melbourne Techno Massive are one of the few people who provide the highest quality tunage, and usually at a low-low price (in fact i think for the last year straight, night shift was like $0.. and is only $5 now!). so i can bet my bottom dollar that PDT, Serotone and the usual MTM boys will definately not dissapoint. add in Richie Rich for some oldschool stormers and you've got a corker of a night =).

We were all sitting around the "organisational table" stabbing at ideas, then a mate ripped out "SONIC BOOM!" as a joke. A joke it wasnt! Kind of funny how these things happen. We wanted something people could relate to yet nothing too cheesy or fluffy. I think its quite fitting and the decor will also match the theme. So all is going along smoothly for SONIC BOOM :D :D |
