Sainsburys supermarkets are HUUGGGEEE steaming piles of e!!!!! I hate them. HATE THEM DAMMIT!!
There is a reason for my flaming. You see, this year was goin to be my first ever Global Gathering. Not only that, but my first time at any Godskitchen-type event, and being 19, I think i've waited long enough. So as you can imagine, I was looking forward to it.
We'd been planning on going for ages. I was gonna meet some mates from uni and we'd all go to GG. I was even going to meet a guy who came all the way from IRELAND!
Being as skint as uni students are, I thought "Well, i'd better get a job to pay for it". So off I trundle to the local Sainsbury's, as suggested by a mate who works there during holidays. I gladly went (albeit hungover) to my interview and left a good impression, as you do. A week later they rung me up and told when I was starting.
GG was now only two weeks away, so to see just how flexible their 'flexible contracts' were, I asked for the saturday off work. This should have been fine with them, as my contract says I should work 8 hours a week, and I was doing 39 a week.
But, Pat Barret, who shall remain nameless, decided he couldn't give me the time off work, and out of 400 employees there was nobody to cover for me either. And if I didn't show up on the saturday i'd be fired. So, as disappointed as I was, I thought i'd better not go to GG for the sake of keeping my job and being able to pay off my debts.
So I went fuming into work, as miserable as you like, thinking of you lot having the time of your lives, and I was SOOOOOOO gutted.
Just to take the p*ss, that very day, 'nameless' came up to me and said that because they'd hired to many staff recently, he'd have to cut down my hours to 8 a week.... so all along I could've gone to GG but I didnt coz of some gay manager who cant do his job properly!!! I've never been so p*ssed off
I'm thnking of quitting coz they've shat all over me - what d'ya reckon??? |

| Yea, quit. Its only 8 hours a week anyway, and I can't imagine the money being that good anyway, or the job satisfaction for that matter. |

is there a asda near you? asda are by far better than sainsburys. |

I get paid 6.50 p/h to do all on customer service :stongue: |

| get a real job and don't even work at a in' supermarket. man, even if you be a labourer on a construction site ide imagine you'de get paid at least double what you would at a supermarket. |

i fail to see the logic in going to work to pay for something you would miss by going to work... :haha:
i wud of told pat sharp to shove his sainsburies mullet up is arse :D |

Its only for the summer till i'm back at uni. Thank god. I was just well worked up about it all, cos they can never give back the time they wasted of mine when i should have been clubbin. Oh well, there's always next year...

LOL!! Yeah, I wish I had. Wouldnt surprise me if he already had a mullet up his arse, he certainly walks about like something untoward has found its way up there.... but then I dont care really.
