ok dude, don't worry about it too much. these guys are saying alot of .

my dad is an oral surgeon, so he yanks at least 3 sets of wisdom teeth a day.
and i have had my teeth yanked on 3 occasions by my dad.

the first time i was reall young (13 years old) i had a supernumerary (which means i had a tooth coming in after my adult tooth) so my dad had to yank my adult tooth, and while he was at it he yanked a couple of my baby teeth which needed to go. so they gave me local anesthesia (the n20, nitrous) i was young and i felt so ed up on it. i had never felt that good my whole life. when they were done i asked them if they had even started. i had no clue what was going on. i felt like i was walking on clouds the entire time. no idea what was going on in the outside world.

the second time i had my teeth yanked i still had baby teeth left which needed to go because i needed braces, so my dad went back at it. at this time i was 15 and old enough to be nocked out (iv sedation) so i was put to sleep with the nitrous and the opiate iv drug that puts you to sleep. (the second best high of my entire life).

third time around i needed my wisdom teeth pulled. by this time i was like YES more drugs for me! so again i was put to sleep, but unfortunatly my dad wouldn't give me the nitrous as he gave me the IV sedation, so the high wasn't as good. but by this time i was really into trance and the such so i brought my Ipod with me. and it was one hell of a nice experience. afterwards i foundmyself in the recovery chair listening to chicane, druged out of my mind as my dad's assitant gave me some percoset.
and for a whole week afterwards i was floating on clouds again. listening to good song after good song, enjoying my percoset.

so now to you. your wisdom teeth aren't impacted as was stated by you earlier ("they are still inside the gums") so they will come out easy (my wisies were impacted, my dad had a hell of a time with them, but i didn't know a thing about it).
i definatly recomend the IV sedation, but if your parents are too cheap to get it, its cool cuz your wisies aren't impacted. they come out easyl. definatly bring some choons with you. the nitrous is great. when they put the breathing thing on you, take really deep braths of it. take as much of that in as you can. if you feel you are suffocating its cool. its just cuz your not used to it. half of it is oxygen, more than you normally take in in each breath you take.
afterwards you will get some opiate pain killer of some sort. be it percostet, vicodin, it depends on teh doctor.
enjoy it. make sure your parents buy the pain killer. it is crucial.
don't worry about the surgery. you get good drugs. enjoy it whilst you can.

god ing nm, my mom says its gonna cost 600 dollars for 1 hr and like more money every 30 mins after that because of no insurance.

im gonna talk to the dentist dood anyways about the procedure. i have teeth that are slanted forward

example:
| | | | | \

thats how my wisdom teeth look the "\"

i read some info and it looks painful...

they said that i will take an oral medication "pill" to help me calm down my nerves and then inject my gums with local anastesia.

will i be able to feel anything the dentist does to my gums / wisdom teeth after the drugs / anastesia?

oh no that sucks. the whole insurance thing is a biatch.
well i can't tell you whether it will hurt or not, cuz it depends on how good the Doctor is and how impacted your teeth are.
My wisdome teeth were impacted big time. they were pretty much perpendicular to the rest of the teeth in my mouth. My dad had one hell of a time yanking them out. but i was put to sleep while listening to music so i didn't know a thing of it.
the first time i had my teeth pulled i didn't have the general anesthesia, i just had teh local (novacane and nitrous) and my teeth weren't impacted at all.
I was really young at the time too. I think 10-12 ish. don't remember.
I remember though after the procedure was done and they took the nitrous off me, i asked them if they had even started, cuz i seriously didn't know what was going on and had no idea they had even started. i was in a whole nother world while everything was going on.
but you are older and have more than likely had some experience with drugs of somekind (be it maybe only alcohol). so under the influence of the nitrous you will probably more conscious than i was at 10.
but regardless, the nitrous will be really nice. the novacane will numb things up pretty well (given the doctor doesn't start too early, be sure to talk to the doctor before hand and say something, because alot of doctors/dentists give patiens novacane and start operating before the drug has had enough time to take full effect and numb everything down). just close your eyes, bring some music, something really deep and chill. you mentioned digweed earlier, MMII would be very nice. especiallly the begining. and take in deep breaths of the nitrous and don't think about whats going on around you.

i had all of my wisdom teeth pulled on 4 seperate occasions. the bottom teeth were soft tissue impacted and the top 2 just hurt so i had them pulled. the pain i had before they were pulled hurt MUCH more than when i got them pulled. i waited until i was in so much pain for them to pull them, b/c i was terrified of getting them pulled. i got them pulled with only the novacaine and nitrious. i have a huge problem with needles, more so in the vein, that i flat out refused for an IV. so i was awake the whole time during each tooth pulling. i have had a total of 10 teeth pulled and well it doesnt bother me at all. this is what i do....tell them you are really nervous, they do their best to help you and understand. i was so nervous i kept on telling them that i couldn't feel the nitrious, so they would raise it for me. all in all, your gums will be a little sore, but you get painkillers, so it is all good! dont worry, you will be fine, and enjoy the painkillers!

does n2o cost money?

i think i want n2o with the local anastesia :)

I got my teeth pulled out about 3 years ago. It's a piece of cake. I got the anesthesia and it was mint. There's no need for music, cause you won't ever get to hear. The dentist told me that when i was going under and they put the turnicit? around my arm, that I asked if he was giving me some "smack". I don't remember that at all. But my mouth afterward was in great shape, I wasn't in any pain. I got at least 25 vicodins, and prolly only used 3 of them for my teeth. And all that after pulling 5 of my wisdom teeth. Yes...5, it was weird and it cost an additional 250!!!:eyes:

DON'T BE SKURD!!!

peace.
