Well you already know my thoughts pn this as I've had it a while.

Excellent track, really hard edged & cheeky feel to it. I could Imagine BK & Nick Sentience spinning it meself :D

The whole progression is superb. Loads going on.
Some of the effects you've thrown in there on some of the sequences are mindblowing.

the main section of the track is quality aswell. The build up from the breakdown is outstanding.

However there is a big flaw in the main part.
The EQ'ing on the track is way off IMO.
It doesn't sound warm enough and some of the highs need to be cut down and the bass brought out more. It all sounds a little fuzzy IMO :(
But thats easily fixed with a bit of mastering :)

Other then that its a superb track.

Good work :toothless

I'm not exactly good at mastering, maybe you could give me some pointers some time :) Thanks for your helpful comments though, greatly apprechiated!

first off, the melodies etc are all fantastic, its one of the best tunes ive heard on these forums; however, the mastering is off.

Way off. I'm at mastering myself, but this really needs work. It all sort of sounds lo fi, and muddy. As bren said, it isnt warm enough either. I say send the rns file to bren or something and get him to master it ;) :p

But yeah, get the levels/mastering sorted, and you have a monster :eyes:

i agree! your meriva remix sounded lofi as well.. overall a great track, but you really need to get it mastered indeed (if you can't do it yourself, get somebody else to do it because it sounds like a liveset rip now)! the melodies are good, i'm just not too sure about the build to the main melody with all those kicks.. i feel the kick is too strong to have so many of them during the build (roughly between the 5 & 6 minute mark)

in other words, i prefer the luke terry remix for now.. ;)

I'm no good at mastering either, but try jjust eqing it till it sounds better :P.
Mabye look for some mastering articles around the place?

Lightworks
It indeed is a great track Shep ;)

But I can see where the others get their eq-thing. It's not only that maybe, the sound of the main lead kind of adds to it. The melody that's accompanying it, sounds hifi to me, which is a little of a strange mix that way :)
Perhaps make it a little 'wetter', fill up some space with reverbs and/or delays.

Looking forward to the Luke Terry remix ;)
Cheers,

Nice track Shep but i agree that it needs mastering, IMO it is better 2 get someone else 2 master it for you than doing it yrself, a fresh pair of ears ect... if Bren will master it 4 ya, you could have a stormin track here mate;)

Come on bren, av'it:D
