| i dunno. i think shrooms are pretty weak. not hard imo at all. and i'm pretty much just a pothead. :rolleyes: i never do anything else hardcore, and barely even drink. |

id say shrooms and weed are still chems IMO. just because they're natural doesnt mean they arent. they still have chemicals in them which alter ur mind state exactly the same as man made drugs.
shrooms considered a hard drug? put against weed and booze, yes. but put against E, coke, heroin ect, no. so id say medium :D
oh and 'the source' what you just said is a load of bull. actually do some real research for once instead of reading whats in ur local newspapers which are almost always propaganda. go to www.bluelight.nu and www.erowid.org to find out some real unbiased information about drugs. |

if u had a weak experience it is probably because it wasnt potent or the amount was subpar...there are many different kinds too...the very potent ones will fuk u up even after a g or 2 so kno what youre eating!
pm me for questions if u wish as ive had many many xperiences with shrooms and some other hillucies (mesc, acid, peyote)
they arent recreational drugs...more mind enhancing i think |

I would classify heroine, crack, etc. as hard drugs. I would say tobacco, alchohal and marijuana are soft drugs. Shrooms I would call "medium hard"
note: I never have and don't have any interest in taking any of the mentioned substances. |

When people talk about "chemical" drugs they are referring to syntheticly produced or processed drugs, which would exclude mushrooms.
It also seems kind of stupid to me to draw arbitrary lines about what is a "hard" drug and what is a "soft" drug. Most people draw the line at mushrooms, saying that only them, marijuana and alchohol are soft drugs and anything else used recreationally is "hard". |

| i wouldnt call shrooms hard. ive done a lot of mushrooms... ive had some really crazy trips but nothing too insane and there isnt any horrible withdrawal or crazy addiction as with herion and other hard drugs |

gotta agree with PatMcGroin on this.
otherwise, if you want hard drugs, try ketamine,lsd,mescaline (a bit hard), but you really want really hard drugs, you go for those who contain atropin (belladonna,other vaults in the datura-family++) - now those are some intense that are hard.. i recommend you not to try though, as i've seen ppl become way too ed on them.
@wick: a drug ain't chemical because it got chemicals in it. a chemical drug is a drug that's syntheticly produced or processed drug, as dj adagnitio said some posts before me.
i wouldn't exactly say that psilocybin is a hard chemical either, as you gotta consume about 10kg's of fresh shrooms to be in danger (which teoretically should be impossible(??)) |

I've had a wee bit of drug experience in the past few years. Can't ever say I've tried shrooms but the whole "is this a hard drug" mentality is looking at things completely the wrong way. It's hard to draw any lines across the drug spectrum especially if it isn't within the same class (amphetamines, opiates, etc.), they all vary in intensity, length of experience, & type of experience. I'd say the softest drug you can get is probably bombs, or at least that i've tried. It's a fairly intense and long experience but (at least for me) its hard to have an unpleasent experience on it. I recently hooked myself up with 25 grams of DXM off the net and I'll be the first to say I VASTLY underestimated the strength of the drug.
The second time I had ever taken the drug I took an insanely high dose (like 1 gram and i weigh 120 lbs) via ingestion ( i don't think there is any other efficient way of taking it???) and let me tell you it was possibly the most intense drug experience i've ever had (before that a combination of mescaline and MDMA really ed me proper.. the mescal trip lasted soo long). Due to my inherent stupidity I dissolved the ubiqutously large amount into water and drank it (easily the worst taste ever, I can't imagine insufflating the stuff) which later (about 25 mins)caused me to vomit an unimaginably large amount of times(pretty much till the trip ended at around 2 p.m., i took it at 8 in the morning). I felt complete dissasociation of the mind and body, like they were two seperate things (never felt ike that before on any drug to such a large degree) and experienced what i can best describe as dimensia (insanity)... My friends all said I was being completely illogical, I knew I was, but I couldn't help it. On top of it all i was experiencing very intense hallucinations (mostly closed-eye visuals from what I recall). :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
By the way, in case you didn't know, it isn't illegal to possess small quantities of DXM in the united states. In fact, its put in cough syrup and thats how most DXM trippers aquire it. It's also important to note that at lower doses (at most I take a half gram now) the effects are completely different and far less intense (i.e. actually enjoyable).
Why people insist on classifying drugs by whether not they are "HARD" or "SOFT". or Natural or synthetic is beyond me. Your doing yourself a great injustice trying to oversimplify the matter. Knowledge about a substance *BEFORE* you take it is a great tool (and to an even greater extent applying that knowledge) . Asking somebody whether or not "shrooms are hard" is not giving you any valuable information.
