They come along like salt and pepper.
ing bastards!
Last night, fast asleep one was on my head. i ran my hand through my hair and it stung me between the ing fingers. I swear i woke up with a sharp pain in my hand, knocked over my fan and ran towards my light and turned it on. Didnt see owt. Turned my fan off and there it was flying round the window. Revenge is sweet!!!!
Now it hurts like a bitch and my middle fingers are all swollen. Kinda hoping that it still hurts tomoz as il phone in sick at work, soon as its going to be hottest day in england like since the start of time lol. |

My cousin got stung in the eyeball once :eyespop: :wtf:
Also my dad used to go logging in these woods, and
all of a sudden a swarm of them came out of nowhere
and stung him in the face/head and neck, the idea is
to keep still otherwise they wont stop |

I had an encounter with a hornet yesterday. They're about 5x bigger than a wasp, and FAR more agressive. Much worse sting, too.
Anyway, out of the blue this bugger lands on my head. Not knowing what the it was, I swatted it. It flew off, and landed on me again, near my face. I hit it again and it went and landed on the dog.
Now walloping the hornet at this stage would have hurt the dog, so I motioned to flick it, but it flew off.
Big ******. :whip:
Wasps are very shy though. If one is flying anywhere near you and annoying you, take a swipe at it. It'll usually head for the nearest exit. Never do this with a bee though. It pisses them off. :nervous: |

| Hornets are bad because they sting as well as bite. I took a hornet attack straight in the neck one time. They had a nest in a bird house my friend had in his backyard, which was mounted 10 feet up on a 4x4 sticking out of the ground. Being young and stupid, we quickly invented a fine game where we would take a baseball bat, and smack the 4x4 and run as fast as we could when they all came swarming out. It was quite a funny sight, seeing your friend running like the wind with 4 or 5 hornets chasing him up the yard  |

U get hornets in Ireland?? what they look like?
A friend of mine was at the hill (gettin turf etc.. ppl other ppl from my area will most likely have a different meaning for "at the hill"), newaya, a thing called a "clegg" or something along those lines bit him and his hand swole up like a balloon!

| I like the sense of satisfaction when you kill a queen, knowing the amount of wasps you've prevented. ;) |
