Erhm .. don't know if you are referring to Armin van Buuren, but if you are, I feel sorry for you and your knowledge of electronic music.

I'm losing grip on reality ever since the trance subgenres began fusing... lol

this year is not the year for progressive house and trance over here in the U.K. People seem less interested in listening to progressive and more are into house ,D N B, hip hop and commercial cheese trance .

I must agree with reso about what hes trying to say about true genuine trance. I listen to all genres of electronic music, that is Trance, House, Prog, Hard House , hard trance, Dnb, Breakbeats, you name it. Me being a listener of all these genres and also loving all of them must agree that there hasnt been anything innovative in any of the genres other than progressive... Also id say hard house and its sub-genres are doing well, but I havnt really been impressed in any way with the trance productions i've been seeing or anything that appeals to me much. I also see an upcoming trend in techno coming up in america. At least in Miami i'd say.

Music is opinionated, some like progressing beats, others like buidups and breakdowns, does it matter which is better?? Prog heads are a bunch of snobs, u ma as talk online, but in reality y'all just looking for a way to make yourselves feel better... Who gives a damn whats cheesy or not, Quality and sound varies from person to person.... Listen to music because you like it period.

progressive is a state of mind you idiots. progressive tracks dont have plasticky synth buildups and 10 year old drum rolls. thats all been done millions of times over.

progressive is, by definition, the future. music progresses and evolves, and thats what progressive music is all about.
