wow i love that pic. darrell issa spends 1.7 million of his own money to start the recall against davis. he decides to run after the recall is offical, today he backed out, probaly because of arnold now running, while crying like a little bitch on tv. :clown: :haha:

looks like he's burping to me.

Well, although I think there are far better candidates than Davis I'm personally against the recall election. I think it's silly to hold a $60 million dollar election to recall a governor when the issue largely at hand is a budget crisis. It's not like whoever is going to replace davis is going to wave a magic wand and magically cure CA's deficit. At any rate, one example of the idiocy that occurs with direct democracy ... another being prop 187. Screw greek democracy, the romans had it right.

True, but when looking at the potentials (the actor, porn star, Hustler founder, etc.) I bet they wouldn't do much better than Davis.

Would that be the woman who posed for random billboards that advertise nothing?

There are more than 200 candidates on the ballot now and California election officials are trying to figure out a way to make multi-page ballots non-confusing. They are also saying it could take days to tally votes. Some counties cannot find printing resources to get the ballots done in time for the October election.

I don't think I'll have to do much more explaining now when people ask me why I don't like California  The three ring election. I wonder if we'll ever hear platforms from these candidates?

if only there wasnt so many sheep in this state (and country)

arnold supported 187
arnold was part of energy meeting with ken lay (former ceo of enron), and richard reardon during the energy crisis. i wonder what they talked about :whip:

Q: Could California have problems with hanging chads as Florida did in the 2000 presidential election?

A: Yes. Seven of California's 58 counties, including populous Los Angeles County, will use the same type of punch-card voting that caused the trouble in Florida. Under a court consent decree, counties are required to junk the punch-card devices by the March 2004 primaries but won't have time to make the change before the recall election. A pending federal lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union asks to delay the recall vote until the punch cards are replaced. (link)

Arnie has done it before and he can do it again. You should know that he wasnt always the tough guy that he is today. When he was about 16, living in (Austria or Germany, I forgot, LOL), he was skinny and he wanted to become an actor in Hollywood. Everyone laughed at him, but he had confidence and changed himself, earning the titles of Mr. Universe, The Terminator, and now possibly the ... Governor? LOL, thats too cool even to be said! Dont want to write his entire biography, but I got to tell you, its quite impressive. He's a smart guy, and he's got a lot of confidence. Even if he loses, dont expect him to just crawl back into his hole ...

he has admitted to using steriods in his earlier days, and like bush, arnie went AWOL during his military service to compete in some muscle competition. nothing impersive about that.
