soooo many new people see these boards all the time, and
#1) they dont give a if youve seen it
and
#2) the people who have been here the longest are sick of hering how MANY ING TIMES YOUVE SEEN IT

seriously, what do people hope to gain from such a statement?
that people will be so charmed by their wordlines that they will start exchanging emails? Phone calls? start going on summer vacations? ARE THE OUT OF THEIR ING MINNNNNNDS?! |

it's a little power trip, actually. they're basically saying "been there, done that, you're a n00b and i'm a veteran, i am cool"
typical psychological response. same reasons for posting lame threads that try to look cool, mainly for posting and telling yourself "yeah, i'm cool, i posted, i came up with some idea". and don't even care that 20 people before posted the same thread. |

It would totally overload the server if you searched for three letter words. Think about it... If you typed in "the" you would get two bazillion million and one results.
