maybe it's only me but Sylver seems "a bit" cheesy to me.
And I do not like the voice of that lady |

Maybe it's cheesy cuz "Turn the tide" was on the german top 5 on the single charts, commercial indeed. But I like that tune. In my opinion it kicks ass. |

The Velvet Girl Remix of "Skin" isn't cheesy. And the vocals aren't that bad! |

sylver is indeed commercial stuff,in Belgium 'turn the tide' and 'skin' made it to number 1 in th echarts, and forever in love got into th top 10,but I donno exactly where, but the guy behind the synths (dj wout),said himself that 'forever in love' was for commercial purpose,to create a song which every one would sing along
een 'meezingertje' like they say back here :D |

| The Green Court Remix Of "Forever In Love" has some nice elements in it, but the vocals are kinda commercial I guess :) |

Sylver wasn't ment to be commercial
turn the tide was only pressed on vinyl and was only made to play in the clubs, but becouse it was sush a big succes they released a single of it. And it became at hit, skin and forever in love are more commercial |

Isn't it a fact that the first song from every new artist is first pressed on vinyl to watch the reactions of the crowd and then decide to made a single of it or to keep it as a club hit?
Personally, I can't believe that Turn the Tide was only meant to be a club hit (or it has to be a club that mostly plays commercial tracks like La Strada (the old Montini) used to do). Anyway, "Silver" is one of those new commercial formations here in Belgium, like Liquid and so on, which tracks are turned gray on the radios here in Belgium. Maybe something for a new discussion: is vocal trance = commercial trance? I don't know much trance with lots of vocals that isn't commercial. And if you watch most of the charts, most of the tracks have vocals in it.
If you all people, would like to hear "quality trance" on the radio, then tune in saturday night at C-Dance from 9:00 PM (visit www.c-dance.be for live streaming). The program is called 'my name is trance'.

| I've heard a couple of Sylver tracks, but i don't like them that much. For me it's cheese, and i'm not the person that labels everything as cheese either. Some of the remixes of their tracks are good though:) |

well gloomy 'illusion' is not really a commercial discothek, and they played 'turn the tide' there before it's actual release(actually not big of a surprise with dj wout being a resident but still)
But I don't agree with you saying all vocal trance being commercial, vocals make a track more accessible that's for sure but saying vocals in trance=commercial is wrong :D |
