Firstly, main melodies should be created by the TA's. As this is an "anthem" it's important to have a distincive melody. The TA's can choose their favourite.

Once one melody is selected TA's can make a track with this melody. A Remix Competition style contest can take place to decide the best version of the track with the chosen melody.

Also agree about the anonymity point.

i fully agree with these terms

i'll make a thread sometime next week, when the current remix competition is over!

unless some people have other ideas?

a track is not just the melody, a track is the whole sounds, breaks and anything, if we'll base on the melody the track will be somewhat boring... but do it however u want... i still think remixes should be made for each style...

Of course. But having just the melody to remix is ideal because you CAN use it in any way you want, add your own sounds, breaks etc.

indeed

besides, the idea was to create a tranceaddict anthem, which means it has to be something that everybody recognises and associates with tranceaddict.com

and the best way to do that is starting with a melody

Great points!

This is an excellent idea, but it's going to be very difficult to get concensus on a single melody.

Nevertheless, this should get started pronto!

agreed.. its going to be hard to get a melody everyone likes due to differences in taste, and its very hard to tell how well a melody works without the rest of a tune behind it :)

jesus most people here can't even agree what trance is, let alone on a Trance Addict anthem, but it should be good fun.

If were all agreed on how it should proceed, then it should be done as a remix comp in the amatuar forum as tor said. However, we need to wait a week or 2 until the current one is finnished/judged/mises are up...

sounds like an idea which im sure will take off the ground and happen. it would be so cool to have it played by all the BIG DJs!
