It was good his mixes good - couple sore spots!

i thought it was a great show. WHen i came in, i could hear them doing the sound testing, and i figured, cause it was the kool haus, they would crank the bass. But, the Thirst tour guys, knew how to set up sound, it was great. THe visuals were cool, they were mixing, street scenes from in and around toronto, our lat and long., plus live crowd+dj shots, blended with the standard Thirst Tour visuals. They gave out free glow sticks, and sour apple lolly pops. THe girls were great, very friendly, and very hot! Less sausage there this time, thank god. It was busy in there, but not packed like it usually is, nice change:)
All in all, i had a great night, tried to record the set, got some bits and peaces, but enough to be able to identify each track, with your help ofcourse.:D

MADNESS!
This party was CRAZY! I got there at 12:30pm and walked right in with my VIP PASS. (The passes were metal dog tags) The KH was VERY busy and nuff ppl came out. I was surprised that turn was that successful. Found out the there was VIP section and the HEINEKEN beers were :eyes: FREE UNLIMITED! :eyes: I was in total shock when I found out. I drank so much that I didn’t realize I kept saying the same story to ppl all night. (Never happens to me) NUFF HOT girlz in the VIP area and they were all nice and cool. Once again E2EK1EL was out to cause trouble with the girlz. Oakenfold came out and the crowd went NUTZ! It was wicked to see all 1000s of ppl with their hands in the air for this Oakenfold! His set was pretty good and nuff genres covered! Honestly, the crowd loved every second of it! Drinking none stop until last call roll around. Met a lot of new faces and talked to many of the corporate ppl from Heineken. They were pleased with turnout. In comes Alex from DeepGroove and we chilled for a bit and soon after I had to go home. All in ALL, the party was WICKED!
I was a little disspointed with the setup, but realized it was Heineken’s first party & they did a very good job. Visuals were done VERY slick! :eyespop: SEEING OAKENFOLD SPIN & THE FREE UNLIMITED BEERS WERE MORE THEN I CAN ASK FOR!:eyespop:

BIG UP ALL THE TAz and ALL THE CREWS THAT REPRESENTED TONIGHT ! BOH !!!

Im not much of a VIP person so i ddint really bother that much with the VIP stuff...was in the vip section for all of 30 seconds...comfortable seating:)..
Oakie was good....he was still not the oakie of old...but definately seems to me like hes makin an effort to regain some of the respect im sure he knows he has lost...obviously he still has a HUGE fanbase...its like these people dont party unless P.oakenfold is town...KH was RAMMED to the ..or atleast everywhere i walked it was:)...OMG SEVEN CITIES OMG OMG OMG OMG.....ive been dying to hear it at the guv complex in soooo long and he dropped it...i think i nearly started cryin from the emotion ...but that woulda been umm wrong?? (seriously that song kills me)....
oakey gets a 9.5 / 10...i was pleasantly surprised:)
Mark oliver - Nuff said 12/10...(pure and simple Mark at his best)...finally stopped playin around 7.30...
Ezekial - havent met you yet but man your style of typing is definately the coolest on the board:)...enjoyed ure review...i posted a much longer review on guvcrew.com so i dont feel like typing all that out again and dont wanna copy paste cuz like someone said this morning on the way back...sam may be lazier than i am:)..tru tru:)

for anyoone interested in meeting me cuz i suck at finding and meeting new TA's....i will be the shirtless, skinny, abosultely drenched to the bones, screamin @ the top of his lungs for the dj to "pick it up" and the crowd to "PUT URE HANDS UP"...im surprised no one has smashed me in the face for my incessant yelling yet:)..nice of them to be so polite...i beleive ive now set a record for most tying done before 10am on a sunday. SOMEBODY STOP ME !!!!..plz:(

| Skank came on for about 10 min after Oakie and then Daniele Davoli came back on but i dunno for how long. We went to Guvy at around 4. Oakie was good....at least he seemed a little into it this time...still Mark O stole the show for me. , i'd rather go see this guy the any big name djs any day.... |

Paul was very good guys! Covered everything as he usually does. Wasn't surprised to hear Butterfly based on some recent tracklists but it was still nice to hear some goa from a top dj. You have to respect a man that always spins everything. As for him being the oak of the past? He's not there yet but pretty damn close. This set reminded me of a 4 deck Roseland set I heard him do a long while back, at least in the way he moved the crowd. The free beer was a real treat! Hope you all had as much fun as I did. I don't think I'll be at the Labour party just cuz I'd rather make the trip to Aria for Picotto and Robertson. As a side note, KH seemed to be a little better ventilated this time around. I guess it was the fact that it wasn't as packed as it usually is. All in all, great party! |
