Here you go then - I posted a clip of this one a few weeks back... and after a long consideration whether this will destroy the any bit of credibility I may have or not I decided to post it anyway :p
OrgaNik - Carvanha (9:02, 8.3MB, 128kbps)
It's a bit more commercial than my usual stuff but I hope I didn't slip into the territory known as cheeseland.
Lemme know what you think. |

not bad at all! production wise the track is very well done, really love the percussion.. the kick should be a tad louder though, the bassline seems to drown it a little..
the melody is indeed rather 'happy', but i wouldn't say it's cheesy.. but there's still that 'problem' where the first chord of the melody does not quite follow the last one..
all in all it's a good track, so you don't have to worry about your credibility.. :) |

dunno i could be wrong, but when i listen to it i feel there is some sort of harmonic issue between the last chord of the melody and when it starts again (the first chord).. |

I can't hear it :conf:
That's not to say you're wrong, though, since I've been listening to it non-stop for the last 2 days and I've become "deaf" to it, so to speak. |

CHEEEEEEEEEEESE!, Only joking, it sounds pretty good mate, it is like tor said 'Happy' but not cheesey. Also i 2 can hear that bit that tor has spotted but i think it is just a combination of the notes that are following each other and the delay/fx bouncing off it! But i would not worry about it, like i said it is somthing and nothing:D
Good Job.;) |

| I like this. Yeah, it's a bit cheesy, but it's very well produced. I like the breakbeat part. |

Thanks for the feedback.
Don't think I'll be doing any more stuff of this kind, it was just something I needed to get out of my system.
BTW:
Here is a MIDI of the lead if anyone's interested... |

Yeah I fully agree with what tor said here... :D
I also don't like the chord change, it doesn't flow all that well musically... the other chords flow well tho.
Well produced, pro sounding... definitely NOT cheese. |
