yeah i got ripped for 300 bucks on an eclipse deck by some mexican in texas. ******. I found out the best way to do it is fax them a written form and have them sign it and get their phone number and call them on the phone and stuff. My brother and I always buy stuff from ebay and never had a problem since started getting personal info from the sellers |

Buyer Beware...that's all I have to say.
Honestly I have more problems with the postal service than with users. One sale gone bad out of about 500 transactions...so i've done pretty well. |

Ive use ebay both for buying things i want, and selling things i no longer have a need for, and as yet have had no problems, ebay seam to have some procedures in place in case people get ripped off, and as posted before if you pay via paypal/credit card you do get soem protection, if you havnt done so allready contact ebay customer service. |

"Caveat Emptor" as they taught us in school.
30 bucks isn't too much to be out....I lost more than that paying for CD's I didn't want from ColumbiaHouse back in the day....stupid mail in the card things....chock it up to experience and next time make sure you check with the seller.
I had no problems with my one and only idiotBay purchase....my biggest problem is keeping myself from bidding on things I don;t need. Ended up with a Dolby Digital reciever that was off webauction in college...

A good buddy of mine just got screwed off of an ebay buy as well. Unfortunately for the con-artist seller, my buddy is a white hacker who works for the IT security dept. at Sprint. So after he realized he was getting shafted by the seller, he did a little investigating on his own and tracked the guy down to a location in Vermont. He then proceeded to shut down his hotmail account (which isin't too difficult), shut down his ebay account, and hack his business website silly. He then got the FBI involved and handed them an encrypted folder detailing all vital info. on the man. And then he got his money back through his credit card co.
So maybe you might want to invest a few extra $ on a hacker that could substantially ruin the seller's life and give you a little payback. Just a thought. |

i've bought some stuff but find that most people lie about the condition of the product or they don't package it very well. |
