Sooooo, who'll be joining me front and centre to pay homage to one of the best old-skool DJs who's still going very very strong??
I for one can't wait to see him spin again - missed him at GK last year, but saw him at TT where he rocked my world :) I have a soft spot for him, because he mixed one of the first CDs that converted me to trance - 'The Best Trance Anthems Ever'..... Listening to the radio show he started recently has reminded me how much I love what/how he plays...he definitely has a unique style and an energy all his own :)
For those of u who cant be assed clicking on links, here's what he has to say about his show:
'My unique style is prominent due to the amount of hard work and research that I put into finding new music to fit into my set. I have a love and passion for true Trance music. I’m very lucky that my career takes me around the World. Whilst on my travels I utilize this asset and constantly research and discover new music from many countries. I meet new friends, DJ’s and producers who give me new music from their territories. Some of this music may never reach the UK! I’m also known to be one of the hardest DJ’s to track ID a set when played out, this is the reason why!! With my show I want to expose and share with you this great music that I find from around the world, hence the title Global Trance grooves. The first half of my show is to play you new unreleased records and CDR’s and give you some information about them. The second half of the show I will have a guest mix from one of my fellow DJ friends that I have met from around the World so that you can experience the music from their part of the World. The power of the internet is bringing the World of Trance together.'
Sooooo, who's up for it?? Hehe it'll be interesting to see if he manages to test the skills of our TA train-spotter extraordinaires!!

afaik there's no pre-sale tix....just like there weren't any for Thrillseekers@Gas last weekend.....it's advisable to go get a stamp relatively early in the night cos Gas seems to always be packed on a Sat (with a not too pleasant type of crowd!!)...i wouldn't plan on turning up right when John's supposed to start - djway said he showed up at the start of Thrillseeker's set last weekend (round 1am) and they didn't let in any more ppl after him.......so, best bet is to go before midnite, grab a stamp, and come back later on - that is, if u wanna avoid the dodgy crowd and the icky hard trance from the support acts..... ahhh i wish they wouldn't put good DJs like this on at Gas on a Sat night....but, we can't have everything :( |

ur missin 2 trance events in 2 weeks??? shame on u....keep it up and we'll have to punish u :p i declare the front and centre spot is no longer urs - u'll have to earn it back now!!! :D
i could use some prog tho....for once SC is on a weekend when i'll be in sydney....think i agree with misstrance - i'm all for heading to Gas early, grabbing a stamp, then coming to SC for a lil dose of prog, then back to Gas for John...so, will see u at SC (and pre-drinks if they actually get organised this time!!) :) |
