I'm sure it's none of my business, but I'm seeing a few things here that I feel like I should point out, as an impartial observer (not knowing raversurge or many of you):
1. Mods on this forum are pretty easy going compared to many that I've seen, and I think some people just bitch because they've got nothing better to do. The TO forum is essentially unmoderated - mods only step in when it's total chaos. If you want to see the result of that, feel free to check in (but please don't add to the drama).
2. There's no such thing as an "impartial mod." What do you want, a robot? Obviously the mods will get to know the members if they read the forums and thus become partial, and if some n00b turns out to be nothing but a bloody pissoff, then they're more than likely going to piss off the mods too. What would you do if you were a mod and someone pissed you off repeatedly? A person can only be so forgiving before they decide that enough is enough.
3. I don't know raversurge and what he said or did is none of my business, but I personally don't think it's out of line for him to get banned if a majority of the mods feel that he is an and doesn't deserve to be part of the community. It's irrelevant whether or not what he did was specific to TA - if you found out that a member went around clubs doling out date rape drugs, would you want him to be allowed to continue his membership?
4. Mods can do whatever the f*ck they want, because they are mods. There's no constitution on TA, there's no charter of rights, you check your freedom of speech at the door when you log in. If you have a problem with that, then maybe you should read the fine print more carefully when you sign up for these things. Get over it, they're the bosses and you're not! Anyone who's ever had to actually work should know that sucking up is a life necessity!
