What a night!!!
j00f is a top bloke!!
only about 50 ppl there, which was rather disappointing :/
Standing around, chatting, and we see none other then j00f at the bar!!
go over, shake his hand and introduce ourselves (me and dowlz)
haha, he replies, everywhere hes goes, theres us TAs there :P
hes a very friend chap, and writes in my mobile the track name of his and M.I.K.E.s new production, but maybe I shouldnt tell???
Anyway, He says He'll sign our stuff, so me and Cam and Rob do a Mission in to go get our records and stuff! :P
We go get our tunes, just in time to here him play.
I was blown away!!!
With so few ppl there, he still maintained his presence and dropped a bomb of a set!!
I had to go for a piss and halfway through I hear the 2003 remix of Gamemaster, so I run down and grabbed Cam and we went and held our hands high in front of the booth!
That was gurner moment #1!!!
Him dropping Lethal industrie and the new VDM track also prompted gurner moments, and provided the best night out this year!!

Philby; he remembers you, and thinks ure absolute tops for knowing his sets so well :)

I got a few records signed by him, my copy of Alpha 5 reading;
"To Matt, You're a Champ, j00f!"
So all in all a very cool night!!!

I had a good night despite the fact I didn't dance (don't hate me because I'm different :)), and I wasn't really into any of the tracks he played. I recognise quality when I see it, and I couldn't keep my eyes off what he was doing behind the decks.
It was a pity about the turn out but still a cool night.
I did have a real problem with the volume though. For me the bass drowned out all the synth sounds, so basically I couldn't hear anything other than the bass unless I pressed my fingers into my ears real hard to kill the bass somewhat, even with earplugs in? I don't know what was goin' on there. No-one else seemed to be having any problems. Maybe I was standing in the wrong part of the room; maybe my hearing is ed, I don't know.
Kudos to Gumble, Gelatinpuff, and DJ Dowlz for playing some tunes before the show and giving me a crash course in Deck Usage. I'm a total trance newb I realised after last night :), but you've gotta start somewhere.
Bottom line is I went home with a smile on my face.
Cheers to all the Adelaide TAers that turned up.
PS Cameron, your Vinyl collection was real nice mate. I'm gonna have to check out that vinyl store now. |

who are those sexy blokes,
I had a top night! I was a little disappointed by j00f when I saw him at two tribes melb 2002, but last night certainly made up for it.
Haha last night is probably the smallest crowd he has ever played for, but it was great for us, like a private party, just chillin' having drinks at the bar with j00f then he goes up and plays a set for us! he turned out to be a top bloke as well.
As for the sound system, ohh my ears are still ringing today and probably will be for most of the weekend,
All in all, a pretty god damn good thursday night
Im so sore today, too much dancing like a turbo nutter!
Also didn't mind ATB's set before j00f, some quality trance present there.

| Sounds like it was a top night. I'm jealous cause you actually got to hang with him. I would've been there but me gots the flu pretty bad (even took a week off of work for the dole ;)) besides it's about time I met some of my fellow TA's. BTW nice pics |
