02 Libra Presents Taylor - Anomaly (Calling Your Name) (Ferry Corsten Remix).mp3
This song is sweet, who is Libra? |

Libra = Brian Transeau aka BT.
Ferry's mix is very nice but check out some of the others; the Moogwai and Granny's Epicure mixes (the latter is my personal fav) are well worth hunting down. |

A nice remix. I didn't know the Libra version had Jan Johnston's vocals. Not until i bought this old album,

Um, no. Taylor is a West Coast US producer and DJ. That discogs record is correct except that he's a one-man show, not affiliated with Evolution. I don't know where they got that.
Here's more information:

I have both his mix CDs, United DJ's of America Vol. 10: Resonance and Synesthesia, which are each fantastic and unique in their own right. He's an excellent DJ and producer, but I do wish he would put out more material and had more exposure. Electronic music seems to be more of a hobby for him these days than a career.
I think Taylor - Slide is one of the best progressive trance tracks ever made. Xenophobe is also very good. Then he went down the road of deep prog house with Sasha, Diggers and crew with Baba and Today, although both of those tracks are nice too, in a more subdued and atmospheric way from his earlier production and remixing.
For the Anomaly (Calling Your Name) release BT was signed to Perfecto (I believe) so he had to come up with a different alias for Platipus. Libra is merely his zodiac sign.
And in my opinion the original mix of Anomaly (Calling Your Name) easily destroys the rest. ;) |

I'm pretty sure that Jan wrote the vocals for Calling Your Name before the Anomaly release, and that BT and Taylor merely sampled them at chipmunk speed.
That's why with the re-release under Platipus it's just called Jan Johnston - Calling Your Name, because Jan owns the right to that song, but not Anomaly where she was basically just a featured vocalist (before trance had things like "featured vocalists"). |

Oh, so that's one of those things with the same name - different artist again and i got confused.. You are correct.
Jon and Barry are from the UK and they have co-produced only 1 Taylor track called Xenophobe and some remixes if i remember right. The ppl on discogs can't always know who is who tnx to the million similar aliases. |

I didn't know about the Xenophobe copoduction. I thought it was just Taylor. But I don't have the vinyl and don't really know the credits, so it could be right.
I linked up the two CDs in my previous post to their Amazon records for anyone who is curious. |
