Overrated - As the Rush comes (it's barely trance, too many vocals, too much texture, not enough substance.)
Underrated - Solid globe, North Pole (amazing understated tune)
Ferry Corsten - Indigo (can't even put into words how much this tune moves me)
[edit] Almost forgot about Annie Lennox - Pavement Cracks(G&D mix) (amazing tune and remix, Annie has the most amazing set of pipes on her.) |

PVD - connected
not the beat/bassline i was used to from pvd...and its too repetitive...got sick of it after my 5th listen

also all of markus schul'z productions...it seems like this year everyone is jocking all over him but his productions dont do it for me...overrated |

Overrated means not as good as it is said to be.
ATRC is a masive hit and it will be one of the first 3 tunes of this year wether it deserves it or not butone or two opinions doesn't count so you can't say it's overrated coz the majority loves it(that's y alot of threads talked about it.)
As for being played alot let's not 4get that djs play requests from the crowd & i think that every gig there's at least a dozen requests for ATRC.
As for G&D maybe some of their releases weren't quality but alot were just gr8 .....

Really don't care if a track that I like is underrated. Makes it more fun, knowing that there's not 500.000 people listening to it right now! Anyone catch my drift? :) |

I think i was quite clear
wut i want to say is u can't call a tune overrated just coz u don't like it.
A tune will be talked about, admired only coz the majority loved it
so it's not overrated while on the otherside some tunes get talked about & played alot coz of their producers(like pvd's connected)
that's when u call a tune overrated.
at the end it's all just personal opinions (so some ppl might disagree with the tunes) |

u can say whatever but it's only ur opinion coz u can never proove a tune 2 b over/underrated.
eg:many ppl hate ATRC while some others can't get enough of it...
u can't expect these guys to agree with each other can u? |

I have seen both PVD and Sasha (twice) this year. I missed out on Tiesto, AVB and Piccotto for reasons I wish i didnt have. As for ATRC, yes it is a good song but I have always been somewhat indifferent to it. It was not too happy, not too sad, not much emotion; I just didnt connect with it. Although Jes Brieden's voice makes for a good trance tune- hope to hear more work from her soon. |
It's ok not to like Time of Our Lives and other songs, I just happen to like that song a lot (just purchased the vinyl:D) and was a bit surprised and upset to hear everyone say that it was overrated, but its not my place to tell people what to think about a tune.
I'm glad we could at least talk about this reasonably without using the F word three times a sentence. |
